31st July, 1980, St Mungo's
Pacing outside the hospital room, James Potter, waited to be called inside, waiting for the notice of his wife and new borns. Waiting with him was Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. The group were waiting for the chance for all of this waiting to end and finally be able to see inside.
"Prongs sit down and wait" turning to the voice James, looked at Remus. "Moony! I can't just wait and sit and... Ah! I just can't!" He replied before going back to pacing. Suddenly the door opened and out stepped a nurse.
"Lord potter? You can come inside now" having heard enough James basically ran into the room to see two babies laying indie their respective places. On the left side of Lily lay a small brown haired boy, and on the right lay a smaller red headed girl.
"Lily? Love?" He called out reaching for his wife's hand, "Darling, look at our beautiful children" he looked at the children once again with a giant grin. Slowly picking up the small male, he looked at Harry Potter, he had the same messy brown hair as James and a slightly pale skin tone.
Sirius on the other hand walked onto the room hand in hand with Remus and walked over to the other side where the smallest child lay sound asleep. Slowly reaching for her he received a small nod from Lily before taking the child into humps hands. She had red hair like her mother and was also pale.
Slowly opening her eyes Caroline looked towards her godfather, she had bright green eyes with small black flakes inside them and Sirius slowly grabbed her hands inside his and sat at the end of the bed.
"Hello Caroline" he whispered.

31st October, 1981, Godrics Hollow
Over the past year the potters settled down inside Godrocs Hollow, the place of current residents for the family of four. Throughout the months the twins slowly grew, learning to walk and talk. However tonight they both were settled into bed, trying to sleep as James and Lily potter cleaned downstairs.
At the end of the street stood a nervous Peter Pettigrew waiting for the Dark Lord. In his hand was a slip of paper with a singular address on it, "Wormtail, the paper" A voice called from behind him.
"U-Um, yes-s My Lord, h-here" he passed the paper to Voldemort, with the address Voldemort quickly made his way down towards the potters house, opening the door he quickly stupefied James as he made his way upstairs,
Lily spotted his and quickly ran towards her babies to try and shield the, "no not my babies! Kill me inseptead but spare my children!" She yelled, begging him.
"Move you silly little girl," pointing his wand at her, "stupify"
Watching as she fell he moved towards the babies that were now awake and sitting up, Harry was crying and looking at his mother in the floor, next to him stood Caroline looking him straight in the eyes.
"Now which one?" He questioned aloud, pointing his wand at Caroline he cast Avada Kedavra. Watching the green light shoot at the child before it disappeared into thin air.
"What?" He wondered before shooting the same spell at her brother, she quickly stepped in front of him and once again deflected the spell this time reflecting back on Voldemort causing his to disappear leaving only his cloak, wand and a messy room.
Two hours later when the spells wore off on both parents the frantically checked both children, seeing a cut on Harry's forehead, James sent a patronus towards dumbledore requesting him to come to the house.
It was later found that Harry was titled the-boy-who-lived as he was the 'saviour' of the wizard it world, and six months later Caroline was moved into the smallest room in the potter manor when they moved back in.
Harry was famous and James loved to brag about his son, while Lily would fuss about him more and more, raising him to be the saviour for when He-who-must-not-be-named returns.
As Caroline grew she became more fascinated with books and animals, leaning away from her family and staying in her bedroom, library or the garden. She hung out with her godfather and uncle Remus a lot and would talk about magic with them, slowly they become a second parent to her.
And so it was a shock to Lily and James when Caroline's letter came with Harry's on their 11th birthday, having forgotten she existed.
