IN POTIONS CLASS

I had just turned in my essay and went to sit by myself, waiting for Snape to call my name to tell me our grade on the work.

George was messing around with Fred since they sat together in class, and I was left sitting by myself.

After a few minutes Snape called our names, George and I looked at each other and reluctantly got up and went to his table.

''Your essay is very well written and organized, yet I feel like there are some topics that are repeated, overall, you did a good job, you got an A.'' he handed George the paper.
'' Thank you, Professor.'' I spoke.

We turned around and went to our own tables, he wanted to keep the paper so I let him and sat down by myself again.

After class was over I left the classroom on my own, I was trying to avoid Draco because I knew I was only going to get hurt, but it didn't take long until he came to talk to me.

'' Violet, hey.'' he tagged along.
'' Oh, hello Draco.''
'' Is everything alright?''
'' Yeah, why?''
'' You're avoiding me, aren't you?''
'' What? No.''
'' Come on I've known you for years!''

I stopped and looked at him.

'' I'm fine, don't worry, okay?''
'' You're my best friend, of course I worry.''
'' You shouldn't, really.'' I started walking again '' How're things with Astoria?''
'' Well, she told me she likes someone else.''
'' I can't imagine how you feel.'' I said ironically
'' Why the ironic tone?''
'' Nothing.'' I cleared my throat '' How are you feeling tho?''
'' I'm a little down, but it's okay, maybe it wasn't meant to be.''

I nodded and we walked together to the courtyard to enjoy the break.

'' There's going to be a party today, in the common room.'' he said.
'' That's cool, only Slytherins?''
'' Yes, like always.'' he raised an eyebrow '' Why? ''
'' Just asking, because of Bella.''
'' She can come too, I guess.''
'' No, it's ok, only Slytherins then.''

I could feel Draco was needing some comfort so we spent the rest of the day together.

After classes were over I asked him to go to Hogsmeade with me to have lunch and relax for a bit.

We went to Hogs Head and had lunch together, he looked happier and was smiling more.

Once we finished eating we ordered some beers to take out with us to have during the afternoon.

We walked back to the castle with the beers hidden in our school bags and Draco suggested that we went up to the Astronomy tower, so we did.

When we arrived upstairs we sat down on the balcony and spent the afternoon talking and drinking.

'' If my dad ever found out that I had been drinking beer in the middle of the afternoon, on a restricted area with Sirius Black's daughter, he would kill me.''
'' That's true, he would.''

We laughed.

As the sun was setting we got down from the tower to go have dinner and change clothes for the party.

AT DINNER

I sat down with Draco next to Blaise.

'' You're going to the party right?'' I asked Blaise
'' Yeah, of course.''
'' How did the date go?'' Draco asked him.
'' How do you know about the date?!''
'' Violet told me, how did it go?'' he insisted and laughed.
'' It went well.'' he blushed.
'' Did you give her a smooch?'' I joked.
'' I did actually.''
