A WEEK AND HALF LATER - wednesday

I was at the library with Fred, George and Cedric hanging out.

George and I were civilized towards each other but we didn't speak other than as a last resource, Draco and I on the other hand weren't speaking at all.

A week ago he started hanging out with Astoria and Pansy once again, and he got back with his old group, the one who made fun of everyone and were straight up bullies, including to me now.

He turned his back on me and started to be rude and discriminatory, unfortunately he held a lot of secrets of mine so I couldn't stand up to him, and that was draining me.

My unusual gloominess didn't go unnoticed by my actual friends so they tried their best to cheer me up, including coming to the library with me to hang out in the quietness.

Cedric was always around and supporting me, everyone wanted to see us together but I knew it wasn't right or meant to be.

At lunch time, we went together into the Great Hall, the three guys behind me as if they were my bodyguards and we sat down by the Gryffindor table.

Like every other day, Draco and the snake squad decided to come bother me and my friends, making the usual stupid remarks about the Gryffindor house but nothing too offensive or damaging.

They left after we all ignored them.

I rubbed my temples and Cedric rubbed my back gently.

'' Hey, you okay?''
'' Yes... I'm just trying to keep calm.''
'' It's alright Violet, one day they'll get their payback.''
'' Yeah, I could think of a few things I'd do.'' said George as he looked back at them.
'' It's okay, let them be.''

After lunch I went to class as regular and once classes were over I skipped dinner and went straight to the viaduct to clear my mind, like I did everyday for the past week.

I always brought my sketchbook along to draw the moon, the river below, wondering if I should just jump in.

I hadn't noticed until then that I was still wearing that stupid necklace Draco got me, so I ripped it off my neck and threw it off the viaduct.

'' Fuck you, Malfoy.'' I murmured.

After a long night and dawn of sketching and swallowing back tears by my own, I went inside as the sun began to rise.

I took a shower and got dressed, on my way to the Great Hall I ran into Fred as he came out of the common room.

'' Good morning.''
'' Hey.'' I smiled.
'' You look tired, did you sleep at all?''
'' Yeah, like a baby, it's probably just from stress.''
'' Alright, are we going for breakfast?''
'' Yep.''

I tangled my arm in his and we walked to the Great Hall together.

We sat down and began to eat, a while after, the others joined us, including Bella and Ced.

'' Mornin' beautiful.'' said Bella.
'' Hey Bells, what's up?''
'' Hey.'' Cedric kissed my cheek and sat down beside me.

George always looked uncomfortable with Cedric's affection towards me but always forced a smile or changed subjects quickly.
