The two clashed in a duel of speed and invulnerability. As Riza used her dimachaerus style, Tygren used the fancy hilt of his sword to his advantage, using it to block her second blade. This was all the other Voltaris could see in wonder and amazement. Besides Thalleous, they had never seen anyone be a match to Tygren. Tygren made sure to put on a show every time, allowing her to keep her cloak on, hood up, and using his Aggressium song to make her dodge. He always wondered how she did it, but never asked because he wanted to prove himself superior.

He managed to get behind her and put his sword against her throat, one blade on the ground and her remaining sword hand up.

"Surrender now," he whispered to her as she struggled.

"Never," she whispered back, dropping her blade and catching it with her other hand. His surprise loosened his grip on her for a moment, and she used that to twist away, swinging her blade at him as he tried to counter.

"I have never seen you use that trick before," he remarked curiously, catching his breath.

"I learned it from you," she replied, watching him pick up her other blade. So he also knew the dimachaerus fighting style?

"I'll tell you why we are attacking Sendaria. We need to collect the Prime Songs."

"What? The Prime Songs?" her surprise was evident as she lowered her blade about an inch, more than enough room for Tygren to burst forward with a Mobilium song and stab her with his sword, using the other to slice at her throat.

But the blades made no cut and drew no blood.

They had discovered this fact during their first duel, the one that she lost. Normal or enchanted blades could not scratch her... unless they hacked at it endlessly. It was almost like her skin was obsidian. It was smooth and could only be harmed by a song. Normal and enchanted blades can't hurt her, which is why Tygren was able to defeat her faster. She had to figure out how to disarm him and not hurt him while all he had to do was slice at a vital area.

"What do you need the Prime Songs for?" she asked in shock.

"Oh, you'll find out soon," he smirked. "After your punishment."

"Zinaida, you'll do the honors this time. Here, Lucidius," he handed Lucidius the Mobilium song he used. "Thanks for letting me borrow it."

Lucidius shot her an apologetic glance as Zinaida put her back in her chains. Her shock turned to anger that Tygren had tricked her, and triggered something within her that exploded and sent the Voltaris, especially Zinaida and Tygren, reeling backwards.

She defeated Tygren. Just not in the duel.
