It's been two weeks since Navya and Nandini had their conversation and Manik killing Karim incident.

Nandini hasn't talked to Manik since the day he pulled up to her house.

With Nandini :

"But Navyaa, you promised!" Nandini exclaimed and whined to Navya .

"I know Nandini and I wanted to go shopping and see that movie too, but suddenly my dad thought it would be nice to meet 'his future son-in-law' and you know if I tell my mom 'no' she will have a fit. " Navya responded.

"Fine, but who is going to pick me up after volleyball practice? I didn't bring my scooty today, Harshad bhai dropped me off since I knew my bestest friend in the whole wide world would pick me up and we both would go to the mall. " Nandini said the last part dramatically.

"What about your brother, mom, cousin,uncles or aunts" Navya said giving Nandini a lot of suggestions, options of who could pick her up.

" Well Manoj mama is out of Mumbai right now and went to Delhi for work purpose, Chote mama and mami is at Rishab's school for sports day... Rishab has his football game today, Parvati mami has gone to visit her mother as she is not well and my mom and Harshad both are at work, and Raghav has extra classes today... So basically everyone is busy. I can't even ask anyone from the team to give me a ride as no one lives in my direction and I don't know if they are free after college or not, and you also know I don't like travelling in public transport after the volleyball practices, they are so packed, conjusted and stuffy. And nowadays the auto walas charges so much extra price, the end point is I don't know how but you will send someone to pick me up, your brother, anyone I don't care." Nandini kept on ranting.

Navya bit her lower lip feeling bad about not being able to pick her up and cancelling the plan they had made after college.

"I'm sorry Nandu, and don't worry I will get someone to pick you, okay? Maybe tomorrow (Saturday) we could go to the mall and do whatever we wanted to do, my treat. " Navya said trying to convince Nandini to forgive her.

With a sigh Nandini nodded and said" Fine, but I better have someone to pick me up because I'm not taking any buses or whatever nor I'm walking back home." She finished with a laugh.

Navya laughed too and then they hugged each other.

As the bell rang Nandini began walking to her next class.

Nandini turned around and said to Navya "Remember to have someone pick me up. I don't care who it is as long as I have my ride."
