Manik stopped in front of Nandini's house... Wore his ring back and then he got Nandini out of the passenger seat and began to walk towards the main door of the house while carrying her sleeping form in bridal style.

After he reached, he rang the door bell thinking that Navya or that little devil cousin of her would open up the door, but was surprised when a kind, beautiful looking woman in her mid-forties wearing salwar kameez and hair tied up in a loose bun answered the door instead. The woman also looked surprised seeing him.

'Great now she's going to mistake me as a stranger and shout at me thinking that I did something bad with her daughter, what a first impression Manik Malhotra. ' Manik thought.

While on the other side, Nayantara was thinking, ' Who is he? He looks familiar... I think I have seen him somewhere... But where, I can't remember that.' Then she looked at both of them and their attires nicely and remembered that her daughter had informed her yesterday that she had a date tonight, 'so he must be her date then... What was his name again? what did Nandini say?... Ah! Ya Manik... His name is Manik. He looks like a decent guy belonging from a nice family. I have full faith and trust on my daughter and our upbringing that she will make the right choices and won't do anything wrong to bring shame to her family. '

Nayantara surprised Manik when she smiled at him and said, "come in."

Being careful with Nandini's head, Manik walked inside the house and when he was fully inside, she closed the door.

Nayantara said with a motherly warm smile on her face," Follow me, I'll take you to Nandini's room. She has told me about you."

"Oh! Really... Good things Only I guess. " Manik said while whispering the last part to himself as they walked towards Nandini's bedroom, but Nayantara heard him clearly and smiled widely.

"Yes, she has said a lot of good things about you... Well other than your attitude, good things only. So you don't have to worry about anything. " Nayantara replied, shocking Manik as he didn't expect her to hear him and he thought amusingly, 'Is she a demon too. How did she hear me?'

They walked down the hallway in a comfortable silence and finally stopped at a door that said 'Nandi'.

Manik silently chuckled and thought, 'I'm going to tease her about that name later... Nandi baby.'

Nayantara opened the door, Manik looked and observed her room while thinking, ' It's a cute, simple and beautiful room just like her.'

If you guys don't remember, this is how Nandini's Room looked like...

Manik walked in and laid her down on her bed, opened her shoes, covered her with the soft thin blanket and then kissed her on the forehead while whispering 'good night' in her ear.

When Manik leaned back up, he saw her smile adorably
in her sleep.

Nayantara was quietly watching the scene playing in front of her eyes... Manik's pure, genuine show of affection and care touched Nayantara's heart and in that moment she came to know that Nandini was in right hand... He is a man with a good heart.

What more does a mother want than to see her only daughter happy, safe and protected all her life... It was a motherly instinct you could say that Nayantara knew that Manik would never let anything bad happen or touch her daughter ever again as long as he is there with her. She put her hand over her heart and thanked Aiyappa, 'Thank you Aiyappa for sending him in my Nandini's life.'

Once Manik was done, both he and Nayantara came back to the living room.

Manik turned towards Nayantara and finally, introduced himself to her, " Namaste Auntie, I'm Manik Malhotra."

As soon as Nayantara heard his full name, her eyes went slightly wide in shock as she realised why did he seemed so familiar to her before and thought, ' When I heard his name 'Manik' last night from Nandini, I never expected him to be The Manik Malhotra the youngest son of the owner of the famous Malhotra empire.'

"Aunty?!" Manik called again, when he didn't get any reply from her.

Nayantara came back to her senses, hearing Manik calling her and said while smiling, "Namaste son, its really nice meeting you, I am Nandini's mother Dr. Nayantara Murthy. And thank you for bringing her back home safely."

"Please don't thank me... Nandini is my responsibility too from now on." Manik said, making Nayantara smiled more in happiness, satisfaction and relief hearing his words.

"okay aunty, I should be going now. It was really nice meeting you too and Can you tell her, I'll talk to her tomorrow." Manik said.

Nayantara smiled and nodded.

Manik smiled back and said good night to her before walking out.

Nayantara to greeted him back and said, "Good night Manik! and WELCOME TO THE FAMILY."

Manik was shocked a bit hearing her last four words but smiled after few seconds, thanked her for accepting him to date her daughter and left the place.

While he drove back to his Penthouse he kept on thinking about all the beautiful moments he spent with Nandini with a peaceful smile on his face and lastly his first encounter, meeting with her mother,' Both mother and daughter are same, like mother like daughter... Both accepted him so easily. I am really lucky to have met with such kind, pure hearted persons like them in this cruel world. Now I only wish that she will still accept me for her daughter in the future also, even after knowing about who I am really!'
