I was holding back tears by the time I finished the story. I knew this would make up his mind and I would be left alone in this world forever. My mate rejected me, my family rejected me, Ash is going to reject me, and those fucking rogues killed my son.

"I'm sorry Noctis. I Asher Riverton reject you Noctis Ki..."

I cut him off, "It's Braelynn Lockhart."

"Right...um, I Asher Riverton reject you Braelynn Lockhart as my mate."

I then feel the snapping of the bond and followed by that is just emptiness. It isn't long before the emptiness is filled by something else. Something angry.

"You need to leave," I tell Ash because I don't know what is going to happen.

"I am truly sor..."

"I said leave!" I yell in a voice I don't recognize.

Ash quickly leaves and my whole body is burning like my first shift.

What's going on Mara?

It's time, she replies.

What? Time for what?

She goes silent as another wave of pain hits me. I stumble out of the pack house onto the front lawn. I fall to the ground and groan in pain as I feel my bones breaking and repositioning. What's going on? I hear someone burst through the tree line and I look up to see a wide-eyed Callum.

"What's happening?" I grunt.

"I have no idea," he breathes out.

The process seems to take forever, but in the end I never shifted. I am still in my human form. I look at Callum who looks scared shitless.

"Are you alright?" I ask him.

"How?...you...she...what?" He stumbles out.

"Excuse me?" I ask.

"I think he is talking about me," a female voice comes from behind me and I jump, turning around.

She have auburn hair and green eyes that look a lot like mine. She is a bit shorter than me and is wearing the same outfit I am.

"Who the hell are you?" I wonder.

"I feel offended, how can you not recognize me," she dramatically says.

I look at her closer and search my brain for any kind of memory of her. I draw up a blank and give her a confused look. She sighs.

"It's me B, Amara," she tells me.

"A-Amara?" I stutter out, "How is that possible? Am I just a human now?"

"No, you definitely aren't a human now. I just can't be your wolf anymore."

"Why? You have been with me through everything and now you are leaving me?"

"I am not going anywhere B, I will stay here with you, but I can no longer be your wolf," she explains.

"Why not?"

"Because you are now a Lycan due to you being a True Alpha."

A Lycan? Those are pure wolves and they are only males. How the hell am I a Lycan?

"True Alphas are the only Lycans to roam the earth. Since there has never been a female True Alpha before, there has never been a female Lycan before."

"But, how do I have a wolf now?" I ask because I don't know much about Lycans other than the fact that they are very powerful.

"You are a wolf now, like me," Amara smiles. "You don't have an inner wolf because you are the wolf. An alpha."
