Remus Lupin/ HP one shots

It was the final year of Hogwarts, I was finally going to get out of this school. I'd be free, I'd actually have an education and make it out, but I was sad to be letting my friends go, Harry, Ron and Hermione. They'd been there for me since day one, we had always been close, we'd been through everything together, the four of us. It was as it always should have been. We had each other. I was excited to see them all, going down the corridor, when I see Remus was talking with Harry, in an empty classroom. They looked like they were deep in conversation, I lean against the door, listening in. "He wants to see you, Harry. Just think about it." Remus told him, "He's really back? For good this time?" Remus nodded, as Harry sighed. "Let me think about it." I turn away, as I wondered who he was talking about. Who was back? I frown, as I heard him leaving, "Oh, hey y/n." Harry smiled a bit, "Is everything okay?" I ask, "I'm good, it's all fine." He seemed on edge, like he had to go somewhere. Remus approached the door, "Miss (surname), don't you have a class to get to?" He crossed his arms, as I glance back at him. "I have free period for the next hour, Professor." He nodded, "Run along, then." He turned, closing the door, Harry just walked away. Why was everyone acting weird? I watch as he walked away, I didn't get it. We were supposed to be best friends. But it didn't feel that way. "(Surname)." I turn, seeing Draco with Crabbe and Goyle, smirking away. "Don't you have another Gryffindor to bother, Malfoy?" I walk across, as he looked back at me. "No one I'd rather bother." He smugly smiled, "Get a life, Draco." I walk away, as I headed towards the Forbidden forest.

My friends had avoided me all day, even Remus was being weird and I didn't have anyone to turn to. I hated feeling like this, I felt so alone. "Hey." I look up, as Hermione came and sat beside me. "Why is everyone avoiding me?" I was on the verge of tears. "Hey.. hey, don't cry. I'm sorry." She grabbed my hand, as I look down. "Tell me why." I look up, as she sighed. "Sirius is back, y/n." She told me. "I heard Remus and Harry.. but- how? He escaped Azkaban?" It was big news, since Sirius had been a big part of Harry's parents lives, he was close with Remus, so I knew. "I have to go." I wipe my tears, as I stand and I went back towards school. As I went towards class, Remus suddenly grabbed my arm, pulling me into an empty classroom. "What are you doing?!" He shut the door, "Tell me what you know." He commanded. "I don't-" He looked back, "I knew you were listening. Earlier. What do you know?" I sighed, "Sirius is back. Hermione told me.. so all my friends know and I don't? Is that what we're doing now?" I ran a hand over my hair, "I didn't want to hurt you, y/n. I know Sirius was- close to you.. once a long time ago." He leaned against the wall. "I loved him, Remus.. at least I thought I did. Maybe it was all bullshit.. he never knew how I felt." I shrug, "I'm sorry. Sirius has changed now, y/n. He's very broken.. but, I'm here for you. I promise you that. You have my protection." He took my hand, I glance up at him, "And you have mine." My voice broke, as he frowned. "What's wrong?" He noticed my eyes, "It doesn't matter, it's done." I let go of his hand, before I turn and I leave, slamming the door behind me.

Harry, Ron and Hermione all caught up to me, as we talked for a while, we all went back to the Gryffindor common room, as we spoke about what we were planning to do about the Sirius situation. "I'm honestly okay, guys. I promise." I stand up, when I get a sharp pain in my temple, I flinch as I lean against the bed, when a message hits my brain. 'I'm closer than you think. Wait for me.' Harry grabs onto me as I fall back, they all help me to lie down, as I open my eyes. "He's in the forest." I blurt out, as Harry frowns. "What? Who?" He looked confused. "Sirius. He sent me a message. He's in the forest, Harry. He's closer that we think. The forest. We have to go." I look at them, "He told me to wait for him. I have to go." I was a mess, but they believed me. Of course they did. "Should we tell Professor Lupin?" Hermione asks, "No.. no, let me do it. I can show him. He'll believe it from me." I slowly sit up, as they agreed. "Wait for me, okay? Go to the forest. I'll come straight from Lupin." The three of them went to the forest, as I went to find Remus again, he was in his office, the door was shut. I knock, "Yes?" He calls out. "Professor, it's important." The door opens, as I shut it behind me, I didn't want to be seen. "What's the problem, y/n?" I grab his hand, placing his finger against my temple. "Close your eyes." I tell him, he just nodded, as I manage to transmit the message from Sirius to him. He pulled away, surprised. "He sent this to you? When?" He frowned. "In the common room. He told me to wait, Remus. He knows I'm here." I watch him, "We have to go. Now." He grabs my hand. "No- no, I have to do this alone. Please, trust me." He shook his head. "I'm not leaving you to go in there alone, are you insane? It's not safe. I am your teacher. And you are my student. I have a duty of care. And I promised to keep you safe. And I will. Now, let's go." His dominance was kind of sexy, but I couldn't say anymore. I just follow after him, as we went towards the forest.

Would Sirius be waiting, as he promised?
