"You're in love with Lupin? As in, professor Lupin?" Harry seemed shocked when I told him I had feelings for Remus, but I'd kept it so secret for months, my crush on him was more than I'd ever expected. "Yeah, basically." He nodded, "Does he know?" I shake my head, "No. God, no. I couldn't ever tell him. That would ruin everything and he is my teacher after all, that would be a massive violation." He watched me, "I won't say anything, don't worry. I appreciate you coming to me." He gently held onto my shoulder, as I smiled, I lean against his shoulder. Harry and I had been best friends since we joined Hogwarts together, now we were in our final year and I was glad to have my three best friends with me. "Thank you." He stayed silent, before I got up and I went toward class. I walked down the corridor, as Remus was walking with Snape, they were talking, as I looked away, he looked back at me, as I bite my lip deeply. I sped up, "Excuse me Miss (surname)." Shit. I turned back, "Professor." He gave me a look. "No running indoors." I nodded, "My bad." Snape walked ahead, as he came over to me. "I don't appreciate your tone, y/n." Uh oh. "I'm going to be late, Sir. I need to go." He crossed his arms, "No, you'll go to my classroom and wait for me there. I'm putting you in detention, your attitude is unacceptable and I won't tolerate it." Honestly, just my luck. "But sir!" He glared at me. "Do you want me to keep you for the entire day?" I went silent, "Hurry along now. And don't be late. You'll be writing lines." He turned and walked away. Fuck.

I went towards Remus' classroom, I walked inside, as it was empty. I sit down at the back of the room, putting my notepad on the table as I looked around. How had I ended up here? The door opened, as he came inside. He shut the door, sitting at his desk. I looked down, "There was a reason I needed to speak with you." I glanced up, "What is it?" He sighed, "Sirius Black escaped Azkaban." My eyes widened, "Harry's godfather?" He nodded. "Does he know?" He sighed, "I haven't told him yet. I was hoping you would." Damn. "Are you serious? Why do I have to do it?" He watched me, "You're his best friend. And I don't have the heart to tell him, it's best if it comes from you." I ran a hand over my hair, "Does he know Harry's here?" He nodded, "Yes. And he knows about you too." Me? "My parents, right?" I knew that, he knew my parents back in school, in the Marauders days. Before they got killed by Voldemort. "Remus, I'm scared." He looked at me, confused. "What? Why?" God, he made me feel weak. "After Voldemort killed my parents, I always thought that he'd come after me too. I don't know if he will come back here, but if he does, I need to be ready. I have to warn them all." He sighed, "I'll keep you safe. All of you. You'll be safe with me and with all of the teachers here. It's our job to keep you safe." I nodded, "Harry's not going to take this well." He played with his hands, "I figured he wouldn't, but I'll make sure he stays away from you and Harry." I knew he was still friends with Sirius despite the situation.

"Thanks, Remus." I grab my pen, as I opened up my notebook. I suddenly felt strange, my head was lightheaded. "Shit!" I shouted, as I shut my eyes, I could see Sirius. He was in the forbidden forest, "Come alone. Tonight. Midnight. Don't tell anyone." I knocked myself back, as Remus looked at me, panicked. "What the hell was that?" I shake my head. "I felt dizzy.. that was weird." I had to tell him, didn't I? What if Sirius knew? My stomach dropped, I didn't know if this was a good idea, going alone. What if he tried to kill me or something? Or used me to get to Harry? "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yes. Yes, I'm fine. I need to go." He could tell something was wrong, he always knew. "Sit down and tell me what you saw." He was too good, he had such a sharp eye. "I don't know what you mean." He sat down beside me, "Look at me." I glanced away, "Y/n, look at me." I sighed, as my eyes met his. "Tell me what you saw." I take a breath, "I can't tell you, Remus." He took my hand, "Please. You're safe with me, I promise. Tell me, let me help you." I looked down, I was afraid. But I couldn't risk it. "I'm sorry, Remus." I stood up, before I ran out of his classroom. "Y/n, wait!" He shouted after me, as I went back to my dorm room. This was bad, I had this heavy feeling inside my chest, I was scared beyond words. This was serious. I had to see Harry. "Y/n? What are you doing here?"

Harry was sat on his bed, reading. "Help me." I was on the verge of tears. "What is it? What happened?" I look at him, "It's Sirius, Harry. He's back. He got out
and he's coming for me." He looked surprised. "What? Who told you that?" He held onto my shoulders. "Remus told me. He didn't want to tell you, he wanted me to. And he sent me a message.. to come alone to the forest. Midnight. I have to go alone." He hugged me tightly, as I broke down in tears. "I'm scared, Harry." He didn't let me go. "You aren't going there on your own, y/n. I'll go with you. We have to tell Remus." I shake my head, "No. No, we can't. We can't tell anyone." He frowned, "I have to, y/n. This isn't safe, he knows Sirius, he can help. Please tell him." I nodded, as I take a deep breath. "I'll come with you." I turned and we both went back to his classroom. "Harry. Y/n." I look at him, "Sirius sent me a message." He frowned. "What did he say?" I looked away. "He told me to go to the forest. At midnight, to come alone." He looked away, angry. "I'm going with you." I shake my head, "No, I have to do this alone. I have to know what he wants." He gave me that look, "Never going to happen, y/n. I promised your parents I'd keep you safe. And I will." I was surprised by that, I just stayed silent. Midnight came around, Remus was hidden behind a tree in the dark, as I looked up at the sky, Sirius emerged from the trees. "Look at you. You're just like your mother." His eyes scared me, he looked like he lost it. "What do you want, Sirius?" I glared at him, my wand in my hand. "Does Harry know I'm back?" I looked at him, "He isn't here." He laughed, "Of course not, I'm not stupid y/n. I know he isn't here. But you lied to me, you aren't alone. You brought along Remus." Damn it. "I never promised you a thing." Remus walked beside me, "This has to stop, Sirius. She's just a kid." I looked at him, "I should of killed you when I had the chance." Remus pulled me behind him, "You don't touch her. Or Harry. Or anyone at this school. Do you understand me?" God, he was so hot. "This won't be the last you hear of me." He warned, before he disappeared into the dark. "Are you okay?" He asked, the adrenaline hit me suddenly and I just kissed him, he hesitated, before he kissed me back. I lean against his chest, as he pulled me against a tree. I slowly pulled away, a little shocked. "That was nice." I whispered, he gently lifted my chin, as he looked into my eyes. "I promised that I'd keep you safe. And I will. I promise you." I smiled a bit.

"I trust you will, Remus."
