When they got to their first ice cream parlor, both of them ordered their ice creams without saying a word. Todoroki got mint chocolate chip and Bakugou got cookies and cream.
"What do you think about mint chocolate chip ice cream, Bakugou?", Todoroki asked.
"I hate it."
"I thought so. Anyhow, I have a question. If you ever get stuck in a situation where you really need help with a bad villain, who would you trust enough to call for backup? — and don't say you won't ever need help because first of all, it's a hypothetical question and second of all, anything is possible no matter what you say. So just...answer the question.", Todoroki asked the one and only Katsuki Bakugou.
"WELL, I WOULDN'T NEED FUCKING HELP SO GET THAT INTO YOUR FUCKING BRAIN YOU HALF AND HALF BASTARD. HOWEVER, since this ice cream is making me feel good and nicer if I must, I would probably call for that Shitty Hair and maybe even Dunce Face. You?"
"Kirishima? And Kaminari? Interesting. I would call for Midoriya.", Todoroki replied.
"Deku? HA of course you would."
"How is your ice cream?"
"IT'S NOT THAT GOOD. I HAVE BETTER PLACES WITH BETTER TASTING ICE CREAM."
"Ah okay. I don't like mine that much either."
"YEAH WELL OF COURSE YOU DON'T. WHO THE FUCK EATS MINT CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM?"
"I do.", Todoroki said responding to Bakugou's question, quite literally while also throwing away his ice cream in the nearby trash can.
"You wasted half a scoop of ice cream, you bastard"
"I'm paying for it so I can do whatever I want with it"
"WHATEVER, DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH IT. WHERE ARE WE GOING NEXT?"
"Nanaya"
"HA, I didn't know the Icyhot bastard was a fan of Matcha."
"I happen to like it. What about you?"
"...I can HANDLE it."
"You like it too, don't you?"
"WHO THE FUCK CARES? NANAYA HAPPENS TO HAVE FINE MATCHA ICE CREAM AND I HAPPEN TO LIKE IT A BIT. AND SO WHAT?", Bakugou replied with a question to Todoroki's question.
"I didn't- you know what? Doesn't matter. Let's just go."
They walked to Nanaya in silence. Neither saying a word until they got there.
"I'll pay for both of us, what flavor do you want?"
"I CAN PAY FOR IT MYSELF YOU BASTARD."
"Fine with me. I really do not care.", Todoroki said walking up to the ice cream store, "Hello, can I get one small regular matcha ice cream?"
The cashier nodded and looked at Bakugou.
"I WOULD LIKE THE SAME THING, EMPLOYEE"
The cashier stared at him, slightly terrified before she said "Uh, thank you, your orders will be ready in 5 minutes."
"Thank you.", Todoroki replied.
"What a nitwit"
"What did she ever do to you? Can you please show some decency or try to be a bit nice when in public? —especially when I'm around. This is embarrassing."
"Look who's talking, you halfwit"
Todoroki just rolled his eyes and waited for the ice cream.
After around 3 minutes, both their ice creams were placed and they paid for it and walked out.
"When did you first eat Nanaya's ice cream?"
"WHY THE FUCK YOU WANNA KNOW?"
"I'm just trying to get through this torturous moment. I really hope I don't get partnered with you again. Sometimes I wish I weren't as strong in hero combat and ability so I wouldn't get partnered with you."
"WELL, THE FEELING IS FUCKING MUTUAL EXCEPT I WANT TO BE THE STRONGER ONE."
"Of course. So are you going to answer my question?"
"NO."
"Whatever then. At least are you willing to talk about hero concepts? Because I'm not doing this for any reason. I have a particular question I want to ask you.", Todoroki said, taking a bite of his matcha ice cream.
"I'm not answering any question."
"How do you get your hands sweaty during the winter? Because I'm pretty sure you need to be all sweaty for your quirk to work better and efficiently.", Todoroki asked ignoring Bakugou's statement.
"It's my costume if you must know, you dumbass. I make additions to it and alter it for the winters. I always put my hands in hot water so I'm used to the feeling and it's easier that way."
"Oh, I see."
"Is it difficult to use both quirks at the same time? How do you do it?"
"I have to release my energy into both quirks and focus on both instead of one. I also have to get used to the feeling of both the ice and the fire at the same time, similar to what you said.", Todoroki replied, "Our quirks clash in a sense when you think about it."
"OUR QUIRKS DO NOT CLASH IN ANY SENSE WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT. YOU PROBABLY NEED TO GET YOUR BRAIN CHECKED OR SOMETHING", Bakugou replied aggressively....as always.
"Whatever you say. I really like this ice cream. Do you like it?"
"Yeah, it's whatever."
"I'll take that as a yes. Anyway, where next?", Todoroki asked Bakugou, letting him choose this time.
For the first time that night, Bakugou slightly smirked and said "Follow me".
Todoroki then followed him quietly without asking too many questions. He was a bit nervous to say the least.
