I'm hungry but there isn't really any human near by, and I don't like to hurt humans either. There aren't even any little fishes I could eat. Mermaids can turn into humans and hunt but I barely used it so.. Before I could continue my thoughts I heard a little animal near by. '𝘈 𝘙𝘢𝘣𝘣𝘪𝘵!' I thought and swam over to it. It was eating some berries in the bush. I slowly swam up to it and tried to grab it until I felt something burnt my hands.
Tanjiro : "OW!"
I went back into the water a bit scared. I heard some fire up top of the surface. '𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦..' I stayed under water since it sounded like it could be a Dragon. And dang, I was right. I felt them pulled me out of the water dragging on land as I tried to hit them with my tail.
Tanjiro : "Hey!"
It was a golden dragon. It turned into it's human form bit it still had features of a dragon on him. He came closer but I couldn't really do anything but hit him with my tail. He stepped back and looked at me confused.
Tanjiro : "W-what?"
Zenitsu : "Your a mermaid, aren't you suppose to be in the Ocean?"
Tanjiro : "...."
Zenitsu : "Why are you in a lake in the forest?"
Tanjiro : "I was just captured by 2 humans, this was the only place I could go since the Ocean was far."
I said and let out a sigh. I was still hungry and he made me loose the rabbit I was gonna eat. I started to crawl back into the lake until he pulled my tail back onto the land again.
Tanjiro : "What's your problem?!"
He leaned closer to me and smiled. I blushed a bit and turned my head to the side. He got up on his legs and picked me up bride style.
Tanjiro : "P-put me down..!"
Zenitsu : "I'm taking you to my place."
Tanjiro : "I barely know you."
Zenitsu : "And I'm not gonna leave you here, humans usually come here to fish or swim."
Tanjiro : "I-I'll just eat t-them.."
I said knowing I hate eating innocent human lives.
Zenitsu : "Nope, we're going to my place!"
Tanjiro : "Uwah! Put me downnn!"
Tanjiro : "T-This is kidnapping!"
He flapped his wings and got ready to fly. I put my arms around his neck and grip it tightly not wanting to be dropped onto the hard ground. '𝘗-𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱 𝘮𝘦..' I thought as I grip tighter. We were now in the sky and the breeze felt nice. I dug my face into his chest still afraid of being dropped.
Zenitsu : "I won't drop you."
Tanjiro : "W-We're so high up tho!"
Zenitsu : "Just calm down, and you gripping my neck so tightttt!"
Tanjiro : "Deal with it then!"
Zenitsu : "Oh come onn!"
I giggled at him. I looked down and all I could see is clouds. I grip tighter still feeling scared. '𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳.. 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦?' I thought. I looked up at him.
Tanjiro : "What is your name..?"
Zenitsu : "Zenitsu Agatsuma!"
He said proudly.
Tanjiro : "Well I'm Tanjiro Kamado."
Zenitsu : "Your name is as beautiful as you."
Zenitsu : "Wait- I didn't mean to say it like that!-"
I laughed and blushed a bit. '𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵.' I looked back up at him and smiled. He blushed and started to freak out a bit with little tears in his eyes. I laughed and He continued to fly towards his place. He acts like a goofball sometimes, It's cute!
