I stood in front of this beautiful painting
A painting of the same world I lived in
But much prettier and calm
And of a favourite moment I wish never passedI tried to blend in
Dived into colours
Hiding my blood in red
Cloaking my flaws with paintImprinted a blurred outline
Onto this one glorious moment in a two dimensional plane
Impressed the world
Masking my real colours away from the third dimensionHeld onto that one image
Unheeding the charms in reeling frames
Kept on retouching the faded colours
But lost its true shadesRestored the damages
When the original canvas was actually impaired
Disregarded those already existing faults
To cherish an imperfect moment... PerfectLishid Mohamed
