Commitment: A love of sustenance

I'm sorry I don't express love as before
To be honest I don't feel that kind of love anymore
The lust, the curiosity, the exploration
But a different love developed along

A love of respect, a love of kindness
The kind of love you craved for from the start
The kind of love I craved for towards the end
But it was already late to start yet felt early to end

Commitment felt more like a responsibility
Responsibility never felt like love
But love was always a responsibility
And responsibility was a commitment

In this lifetime I've tried every cuisine of food available
Yet I've kept having same food over
May be not totally out of love
But out of necessity, for sustenance

Every form of love fades with time
Yet you need love for sustenance
May be not everyday, everytime
But a commitment to be there when needed
