Storming out of the castle, you don't bother to give the guards any information on where your headed, nor do you know where you're even headed. All you know is that you're angry and in the mood for a hot chocolate.
"Can I ask where you're headed, My Lady?"
"No, Hanwoo, you may not. Please pull the Rolls Royce up and leave me alone."
"Yes, My Lady."
He disappears into the castle for a second and after a minute, said car is being pulled up to the front door of the castle.
You walk down the front steps of the castle, up to the car, where the door is held open for you to enter.
"Don't bother following me."
He nods, face grim.
"Thank you."
He closes the door for you, stepping away from the vehicle. You press the gas, looking at the castle doors, silently hoping someone would be there to stop you, someone would be there to say sorry, that it's okay to still have this anger.
But no one is.
—
"Hi, welcome to The Sip, what can I get for you today?" A hostess walks up to your booth in the café. "Oh, your highness," she bows.
You smile warmly at her.
"Just call me Y/N. Anyways, can I get a hot chocolate, please, the largest size you have?"
"Yes, Y/N, right away."
After waiting for a about a minute, you hear a ruckus from across the café. Looking up from your phone, you see an two men enter the coffee shop, both speaking Japanese.
They take a booth by the window, totally across the way from you.
They quiet down and order, both of them giggling over something you assume is on the menu as they look it over.
"Okay, here's your hot chocolate!" The same server startles you out of your stare session.
"Oh, um, thank you."
"Anything else I can get you?"
"No, this is perfect, thank you."
The waitress smiles, walking off.
As you sip your hot chocolate, you seethe.
Why would they side with them. Why would they say any of those things?
Maybe I'm being a little petty, but I'm also allowed to grieve what I've lost. I gave up a part of myself, and in return I received half-assed apologies and a divorce. Never once did I get closure.
What did I do to deserve this?
I loved them, loved them with all my heart. And they broke what I gave to them. They broke me.
But all my friends saying that I was in the wrong? That's another betrayal.
They're supposed to have my back, and now, it feels like there's no one on my side. I'm alone now.
"U-Um... hello?"
You look up from your cup with a scowl. You find one of the men who just walked in sitting across from you. He flinches at the look you give him.
Immediately, you apologize, shifting in your seat. "I'm so sorry."
"Oh, no, it's okay. I was just coming to see if you were okay... you seemed kind of down." He speaks Korean, just with a bit of an accent. You can't quite put a finger on where it's from.
