Y/n's POV

Jason Todd stood there for a moment, not surprised at all like he knew that I found out he was the Red Hood. He hummed while turning around and walking towards the desk.

"I'm surprised. I kind of wanted to wait for this moment." He stated, sitting on top of the desk turning towards me. "Surprised you showed up, all I kept thinking about is that you would reject my invitation to come here."

"Why?"

He shrugged.

"Just wanted to wait for the right moment. I honestly thought it was too soon."

"Too soon? Seriously?!" I yelled, taking a step towards.

"Here we go." He mumbled and shaking his head, taking off his red helmet revealing his face. "Thought we could keep this a peaceful conversation but nevermind."

Jason placed his helmet on the side of him.

"Jason, you were dead! For 5 years, you were dead and you left me!"

"And you think I wanted to tell you this now? That I'm alive? You, wanting to see your dead boyfriend walking around this city?! All of this, what I'm doing. I'm cleaning up Gotham! I'm doing what Batman won't!" Jason stood up from the desk, and pointing out of the city.

"By killing people?!"

"Killing people who don't deserve to live!"

I froze from his line.

Jason never killed people. Now seeing him come back, this isn't the Jason Todd I fell in love. Jason looks out towards the glass window.

"Criminals walking down the street knowing they have a gun in their hand, that stupid smile on their faces," Jason started walking towards the window looking out in the city lights of Gotham. "those criminals....and Batman chose to keep them all alive. I hated that so much....and yet the bad guys run around free without a care in the world and the for the good guys.....the good guys are always dying."

"He has his reason to keep them alive, Jason." I responded, but turns around quick and points at me, walking up to me.

"His reasons are useless! Assholes running around like they own this city. Gotham has always been the city that has nothing but endless crimes. Gotham is never gonna be a peaceful city and it never will. I've had enough with all those monsters. Yet those actual criminals are seeking to escape Arkham Asylum. Not on my watch, and that....and that bastard is still alive."

Jason is now standing in front of me and I'm like frozen on my spot. Not sure what to say or do. I look up at him as I take off my mask, showing my E/C eyes to him.

"Jason, I know you're hurting. I'm hurting too but we can fix it, we can fix us." I place my hand on his cheek, looking into his eyes. "Please, Jason. There's no reason to continue this."

Jason stares at me for a moment as he placed his hand over mine from his cheek and slowly removes my hand away from his face.

"There's always a reason, Y/n. Batman did what he wanted to do. Bruce....is nothing....to me. He isn't a mentor to me anymore, he isn't my role model, and he sure as hell isn't my father!"

I shook my head but Jason walks towards the desk to retrieve his red helmet.

"Jason!" I cried out. "What about me?"

Jason looks at the helmet and he replied.

"What about you?"

"I mean, am I someone to you? Or am I no one to you......anymore?" I softly cried, as I looked down at the ground.

I heard Jason sigh as I pick up my head as he turns towards me.

"Y/n, you are someone to me. I just....I just don't want to leave you like that again, like I did that night. Then again, you're still with him-"

"Bruce was all I had! All I had was him, Alfred, and Dick! I had no one else but them after you left! All I want is to have you back with me, Jason, please come back!" I cried out again as I walk towards him and I placed my hands on top of his hands that are holding onto his helmet.

Jason just stared.

He shook his head and starts putting his helmet on.

"I'm not going back. Gotham needs to be restored.....and I am gonna do what I do best now. I'm gonna kill Joker and all those other criminals who don't deserve to live and once I do, Batman can come at me all he wants, he failed me anyway....and he'll always fail me."

"Jason! Please, this isn't you! Come home, let me help you! I love you!" I cried for him

Jason placed his hand on my cheek as he wipes away a tear with his thumb.

"I'm sorry, Y/n. This is my time to show Gotham what I'm made of." Jason said

Jason grabs my forearm and grips it tightly.

I gasped as I looked at him in the eye.

"Jason?"

Suddenly, Jason puts his one hand on the side of my neck and I felt something sting on the other side of my neck.

"You're now my prisoner."

And I blacked out as I fell into his arms.
