Chapter 29: Leaving Gotham

Y/n's POV

Nightwing, Robin, and I made it back to the Batcave. Alfred rushes towards me and gives me a single hug.

"Oh, Miss Y/n. I'm so happy you're safe." Alfred smiles as we pull away from the hug.

"I'm back, Alfred. I'm okay." I smiled up at him, as I take off my mask.

"How about Master Todd?" Alfred asked as Nightwing, Robin, and I look at each other wondering who wants to tell him.

Nightwing lets out a sigh, taking off his mask.

"He doesn't wanna come back. He left." He said, as Alfred looks down, placing his hand on his forehead.

"Oh my."

"He'll be back one day. Just......not at this moment." Robin said as walks away to the changing room. "I'm gonna shower."

"So do I." I chuckled as I walked upstairs to the Wayne Manor.

I look around the room, missing this place so much. I smiled looking around the living room. Memories flooded my brain as we all use to hang out in the room, goofing around, pranking each other.

Good times.

I go up to bedroom, opening the door. I smiled as I jump on top of my bed. Feeling the warmth of blankets as I finally feel at home. I took a quick shower as I let the hot water run my body, using my 2 and 1 shampoo and conditioner and my body wash. I put on my pajamas as I dried my hair with my blow dryer. I walk back into my room as I feel nothing but joy.

I'm finally at home.

I try not to think about Jason. As Robin said, we all know he'll be back. Just not right now.

I suddenly hear a knock on my window. I look over confused. I walked towards my window and I see....

Jason?

I give him a light glare as I unlocked my window and opened it.

"Interesting for you to come back so soon. Gonna kidnap me again or something?" I replied in sarcastic tone as I walk away from the window and sitting down on the edge of my bed.

Jason lets out a sigh as he jumps in and closing the window behind him.

"Like I said, I wasn't gonna let you go that easy."

"You left. What you've done tonight is something that could've cost you."

Jason gives me a blank stare as he crouches down in front of me, grabbing a hold of my hands.

"Y/n, tonight could've been done my way. Now, I realize that being here, in Gotham, I can't stay here any longer."

I take my hands away from him and I stand up, stepping away from him.

"Wait, you come here to tell me you're leaving Gotham for good?" I replied, looking down at the ground.

I can't believe this is happening. No, it's not true. He just got back!

"Y/n, this city is in hell as it is. Why can't you understand I don't want to stay here?"

I turned my whole body towards him as I grabbed fist full of hair and I slowly start to tear up a bit.

"I just got you back, Jason! Why do you have to leave tonight!"

Jason walks up to me and pulls in to his chest. He wraps his arms around me and he whispers.

"That's the thing. I'm not leaving alone."

I look up at him, confused.

"What?"

"Y/n, I want you to come with me. Let's leave Gotham. Go on new adventures, create more memories, fight more criminals, end some madness. You and I can take on the world together. I'm here to convince you to come with me. You always wanted to go on adventures with me. This is your chance." He wipes a tear from my cheek as he kisses my head.

"Jason-"

"I'll be parked near the Wayne Enterprises. One hour for your decision." He smiles as he walks to the window and opening it then closing it behind him as he vanishes into the night.

He wants me to leave with him?

If I leave Gotham, I'm leaving Bruce, Alfred, Dick, and Tim behind. Who knows when I'll come back. I rush to the Batcave and I see Bruce standing in front of the batcomputer. I walk up to him as I sit down on the spinning chair.

"Bruce." I called out to him.

Bruce looks over at me as he gives me a soft smile.

"Y/n. How'd you feel being home?"

"What would you say if I told you I'm leaving Gotham tonight? With....Jason?" I asked him as Bruce gives me a blank stare and leans towards the computer.

"Depends if you really want to. I know both of you do deeply love each other. I just don't want you winding up getting hurt. All you gotta know is that this place, will always be your home. You're more than welcome to return if anything." Bruce said as I smiled, walking up to him hugging him tight.

"Thank you, Bruce. I don't know what I would've done or where I would be without you." I softly said as Bruce returns the hug.

"Anything you need. I'm here."

"Leaving?" Tim questioned, sitting on his bed as I explained to him on what I'm about to do.

"Yes, Tim. I'm leaving with Jason. I want to." I told him as I sit on the edge of his bed.

"But what about everything that has happen? Are you sure you'll be okay going?" Tim questioned.

I let out a soft laugh and I nodded.

"I'll be fine. Everything will be okay. Besides, I know you and Batman will keep Gotham safe."

Tim smiled as he hugs his knees.

"You know, I know we got into a rough start but I'm glad we worked together. For a short time." Tim chuckled as I let out a soft laugh once again as I placed my hand on top of his.

"I agree. I'm sorry about how I was in the beginning with you."

"It's fine. I could understand of me taking over your boyfriend's mantle as Robin. I could understand that."

Just getting to know Tim a bit, I know he is for sure gonna do great things in the future.

"Thank you, Tim. Now I gotta tell Dick. I know he won't be so happy about this." I sighed, standing up from the bed.

"I'm not."

Tim and I look over at the door and we Dick leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed.

"In fact, I know you are going to be okay. With Jason by your side, I'm pretty sure everything will be just fine." Dick laughed.

I smiled at both Dick and Tim. They both walk up to me as we did a group hug.

I don't know what would my life be without them. I'm just glad to be able to think of them as my brothers.
