Chapter 10

Months have passed, some of the mafia healed, including [Y/n]. Ever since she got her memories back, she had been quiet and distant towards the others. She barely even leaves her office. Sometimes Kentaro would come in to give her food.

Now here she is, spaced out in her office. But her thoughts were interrupted by knock, making her snap back to reality. "[L/n]~san? It's me." Kentaro called out from the outside of the office.

"Come in." [Y/n] signalled bluntly, still staring at the wall. Kentaro opened the door and went inside, looking at [Y/n] worriedly. "[L/n]~san, are you okay? You've been spacing out for the past few months. Not only that, you barely speak, leave your office and you've been distant. Did something happen?" Kentaro asked, earning no reply from [Y/n].

"[L/n]~san?" Kentaro called out. Still no reply. "[L/n]~san." Kentaro called out again but with a stern tone. Still receiving no reply. Silence then filled in the room, the clock ticking was all that was heard.

Kentaro sighed and went to leave the office. [Y/n] didn't bother to stop him, only stared at the wall, frowning. "I'm sorry..."

[Y/n] sighed and went inside the dining room, earning surprised looks from the mafia members. "Ah, [Y/n]. You finally decided to join us." Renjiro said, clasping his hands together.

[Y/n] didn't say anything and sat down on one of the chairs. Renjiro furrowed his eyebrows and looked worriedly at [Y/n]. "What's with you for the past few months?" He asked, earning no reply from [Y/n].

Kentaro looked at Renjiro, gesturing to him that he already asked. Renjiro sighed and continued eating. "Alright. I'll also be giving you and Kentaro a mission later. So after this, meet me in my office." Renjiro said, earning a nod from [Y/n] and Kentaro as they continued eating.

Nobody saw, but [Y/n] smirked to herself as she came up with a plan.

[Y/n] and Kentaro killed some guards in the hallway as they looked around for something. "Let's split up. You look on the 2nd and 3rd floor while I look on this floor and the basement." [Y/n] demanded, earning a nod from Kentaro before they both split up.

Truth is, [Y/n] lied. She wasn't really going to search. She only said that to make Kentaro go away so she can escape. [Y/n] wasted no time and went outside the building, hiding in the alleyway and pulled out her phone.

She was going to call MPD.

But she knew they wouldn't believe her that a mafia member broke into a condominium, so she used a voice changer.

"This is MPD, what's your emergency?"

"H-Hello?" [Y/n] acted out with a little girl voice. "S-Someone broke in the condo I'm living in...I-I think they killed the people here...I-I'm scared! Please help me!"

"Alright sweetie, calm down and stay hidden. Now, tell me what condominium you're in."

"****** ********"

"Understood. Just relax okay, the police will be on their way."

"O-Okay..."

And with that, [Y/n] hung up and sighed, looking at the condominium where Kentaro was in.

"I'm sorry...Shiro..."

Kentaro finally found the item he needed and chuckled. "[L/n]~san! I found it!" He called out, earning no reply.

"[L/n]~san?" He called out again, going down to the first floor, seeing [Y/n] gone. Kentaro was about to call out again, but then heard the police sirens.

"Shit!" He cursed and went to run outside the condominium, only to be met by police officers. "MPD! Hands behind your head!" The policeman demanded, pointing his gun at Kentaro.

"No no no no...not again!" Kentaro screamed and tried running towards the window but got stopped by a taser. "Shiro Kentaro, you're under arrest." The police began cuffing Kentaro as he tried screaming out for help but no avail.

The police officers got Kentaro out of the condominium and shoved him inside the police car. "That kid again? Geez, that's the 2nd- no, 3rd time he got caught." Taishiro grumbled, rubbing his bandaged head.

Kageyama shook his head and sighed. "The lawyer better give him a death sentence. I'm sick of arresting that kid." He said, shoving his hands into his pockets.

Taishiro sighed and walked towards his police car. Kageyama was about to follow but he felt a small rock hit him behind the head, making him turn around into the dark part of the alleyway.

"Yo, Kageyama! You comin'?" Taishiro called out, catching Kageyama's attention. "You guys go first." He replied, earning a confused look from Taishiro. "You sure?" He asked, earning a nod from Kageyama.

Taishiro squinted his eyes at Kageyama before shrugging and getting inside his car, driving away followed by the other police officers.

Kageyama turned back around, pulled out his gun and walked into the darkness. Water dripping from the pipes were heard, a mouse coming out of a trash can, weird noises came as he walked further more.

When Kageyama reached the end, he felt someone grab his arm and pulled him aside. Kageyama was about to shoot but was stopped when someone called out his name.

"Tobio..." It was [Y/n]. Kageyama's eyes widened when she said his name. "[Y-Y/n]?" Kageyama called out quietly. He was quite surprised when tears started rolling down [Y/n]'s cheeks.

[Y/n] hugged Kageyama, nuzzling her face on his shoulder. "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry I forgot everything! I forgot you! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to kill all these people! I didn't mean to hurt you and the whole MPD! I'm so sorry!" [Y/n] sobbed, her grip tightening.

Kageyama was in shock to reply, so he slowly hugged [Y/n] back. He looked around with his eyes, checking if this was a trap. When he realized it wasn't, he tightened his grip and placed his chin on top of [Y/n]'s head.

"It's okay. It's not your fault. If I paid attention in the first place, you wouldn't have amnesia..." Kageyama mumbled as he felt his tears starting to form. "But it's my fault that I killed innocent people!" [Y/n] sobbed out.

"No it's not!" Kageyama shouted and pulled away from [Y/n] to look at her in the eyes, gripping on her shoulder. "It's that damn boss of yours! He did this to you. So please, stop blaming yourself..." Kageyama said. His voice turning into a whisper as tears rolled down his cheeks. "I could say the same to you..." [Y/n] said, her voice raspy from crying.

Kageyama gave her a small smile as she smiled back. He moved a strand of hair out of [Y/n]'s. "I missed you..." Kageyama whispered. "I missed you too..." [Y/n] replied.

Kageyama smiled at her and slowly started leaning in. [Y/n]'s eyes fluttered close automatically as Kageyama's lips crashed onto hers.

The lovers reunite
