"You bitch!" I hear a voice scream, as Luke slowly pulls away, his own face a deep red.

That sets me off. I turn, and face her, ready to hit her so hard her artificial face will fly off.

Luke grabs my hand gently, trying to calm me down, but I've already snapped.

"What the hell did you call me!?" I yell, nearly stumbling down the ladder.

She gives me a glare, and I storm over to her, her little group of friends cowering behind her.

I grit my teeth as she smirks.

"Get your ears cleaned, I said; you bitch!" Ami repeats.

I clench my fists, grinding my teeth. "Wanna repeat that?"

Ami's smirk never dissolves. "I said-"

Before she can finish, I've hit her square in the cheek bone, the hit sending her to the ground.

I smirk. "Who's the bitch now?"

Ami's friends quickly circle around her, asking if she's okay, and asking if she needed a hospital. These girls, were so stupid.

I feel a hand on my arm, and I flinch, quickly turning around.

Luke was standing there, saying something, but I couldn't hear him. I heard ringing, and my pulse in my ears.

I close my eyes, and take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. When that doesn't work, I walk over to the water, and just dive in, forgetting about Ami, and Luke.

A few seconds later, I feel an arm wrap around me, and I swim up to the surface, to see Luke, his face still pretty flushed.

"Oh, hey..." I murmur, looking down to the water.

He grabs the side of my jaw, and makes me look up at him. "Look, I know you're leaving, but I like you. And I had to tell you..."

I nod slowly, looking at him. "I..." I stop not knowing what to say.

"Please, say something." He murmurs, looking at my eyes.

"I like you, too," I murmur, quietly. "But it's already hard for me to be your friend, when I know I'm going to leave. I don't have a choice, and I have no family here. I have less than two weeks here."

He smiles. "Then, I'll make it the most memorable two weeks of your life."

I nod slowly, and hug him, which made me tread the water, since he was taller than me. I take a deep breath, but my ears are filled by a squeaky voice.

"Get off him!"

Wait, I knew that voice.

"Mom?" I mumble, letting go of Luke and turning around.

My mom was stood there, hands on her hips, tapping her foot, impatiently.

Luke put his hand on my back, looking to my mother.

"Lic' you still haven't packed yet, you need to get home. Right now."

I shook my head slightly. "Mom, not here."

"Get out of the water, right now, and get home..."

I shake my head, and hug Luke again. "Do you have a boat?" I murmur quietly in his ear.

He nods. "Of course."

I nod. "Take me for a ride?"

He nods again, and wraps his arms tight, around me. "Yeah, just go with her for now, I'll come get you, okay?"

I nod hesitantly, and slowly get out of the water, with Luke following behind. I grab my shoes, and ignore my mom, as I walk past her towards our house.

Once I'm inside, I rush to my room, and punch a picture of me and my mother, out of anger, and adrenaline, the hit breaks the glass, and cuts up my knuckles.

I curse under my breath, and pull the glass out of my knuckles, and throw myself onto my bed, hiding my face into my pillow.

I curl up on my side, and stare at the wall, and eventually fall asleep.

I wake up to the sound of rocks hitting glass. I get up, and stand in the middle of my room, and notice it's coming from my window. I flip on the light, and open the window, and see Luke, and a pile of small rocks by his feet.

I laugh. "Luke, what are you doing?"

"Told you I'd come get you, didn't I?"

I smile. "Guess you did."

"Can you sneak out?"

I nod.

"Great, I'll wait for you by the door."

I smile, and sneak quietly out of my room, and down to the front door, making as little noise as possible.

I open the door, and slip outside, greeted with a tight hug, and the smell of Luke's cologne, and the seawater.

I wrap my arms around his neck, and hide my face in his neck. "Thanks for coming to my rescue." I mumble.

"Come on." He murmurs. "We gotta get out of here."

He picks me up off the ground, and I wrap my legs around him, he puts one arm around me, and starts walking towards the beach.

We get to the beach, and he sets me down on the sand, and I look around, and see a pretty big rowboat, and a lantern in it.

"Ready?" He murmured, grabbing my hand.

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm ready."

He led me over to the boat, and I climbed in, seating myself beside the lantern, Luke climbed in after me, and started paddling the oars out into deeper water.
