I cried myself to sleep that night. I couldn't take it anymore. At first, I just wanted to let him be in love with me until I left, no big deal, right? Wrong.
I loved him. I really loved him.
I couldn't leave.
I wake up the next morning, feeling exhausted, and tired. I pushed myself out of bed, and slipped on a pair of cut off shorts and a peach colored tank top, and slipped on my flip flops, and walked outside, head for the beach.
When I got there, Luke, and teaching a little boy how to paddle on a surfboard.
I smirked to myself, and walked over to the edge of the water behind him.
He didn't notice, he was focused so much on teaching the kid.
"You know," I murmur, masking my voice. "Swimming with sharks is dangerous." I smile, tracing the bandage around his abdomen.
He jumped slightly, but shook his head. "I'm aware, but sorry, I'm seeing som-" he sees me, and grins.
"What were you saying?" I smile.
"I love you." He laughs.
"You'd better. Love you too." I mumble, smiling.
I looked at the boy, and pushed like to the side. "Let the master show you how it's done." I smirked.
I put on hand under the board, and I look at the boy. "Can you swim?"
He nods.
"Just paddle your arms like that, but don't be like this guy," I smirk, pointing my thumb at Luke, "and have a girl be better than you, at seventeen."
The little boy laughed, and nodded. "Thanks!"
I nod, and smile.
The boy runs back to tell his mom, who's sun bathing on the sand, and Luke pulls me close, by the waist.
"That was very mean, miss Analicia." He smiles.
"What are you gonna do about it?" I smirk.
He wraps his arms around me, and kisses my neck. "Hold your breath." He murmurs against my ear.
Before I have a second to think, he drags me underwater with him.
I squirm out of his arms, and swim away from him, before coming to the surface, laughing.
He comes up to the surface, right in front of me, and grins. "Not getting away that easy."
I smile. "Now why not?"
"Because, I want to show you something."
I raise an eyebrow. "You do?"
"Oh, sweetie, I do." He grins, and picks me up, and starts carrying me bridal-style back to the lifeguards' podium.
I giggled, and wrapped my arms around his neck. "You're making it impossible for me to bear leaving..."
"I am?"
"You are. Shame on you." I smiled.
He sets me down, on the sand, since I've abandoned my shoes. "Go on." He nods to the ladder, and I start climbing up.
He follows me up, and then takes my hand, leading me to the guard rail. He nods his head, and instantly, people go into the water, and from the words; "I love you, Ana!"
I felt tears coming, and I jumped up and hugged him around the neck. "How did you get people to do that?"
"Lots of time, loads of money, and lots of people." He smiles.
"I love you, so much for this... But you didn't have to do this."
He nods. "I did, you just think I didn't."
I smile, and nuzzle his neck, and then look back at the people.
It was amazing.
"You're amazing." I murmur, smiling.
