Chapter 4 - Goddess of Emotion

This chapter is all based on Isadora's POV. She starts to train and become friends with many of the Gods in training. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

I woke to hear a loud pounding on my door. I slowly opened my eyes. Where am I? Looking around I started to remember where I was. I was in the castle in my new bedroom. Someone was banging at my door and really wanted my attention. I stretched and got off the bed, heading over to the door.

The door was very heavy. It was made out of a smoky gray type of rock. It looks like quartz. I couldn't see through it so I was forced to open it up. A bit nervous I open it. "hello?"

"Heellooo Gggoddess Isadora, God Rueben has sent me to see if you planned on attending dinner?" Ivan shyly asked as he bowed his head in shame.

He is such a shy little guy. I wonder if I can help he learn to not stutter. With compassionate eyes she reached over to put her finger under his cute chin. " Ivan look at me." he peaked up but quickly lowered his eyes again. "Ivan I will come down for dinner under one circumstance." I slowly tipped his head up again so he would make eye contact with me.

"Whhatt ummm wwwould that bbbbe Miss Isadora? " Ivan quickly lowered his eyes back to the floor. She is so beautiful and here I am making a fool of myself.. as usual. He sighed.

"Well Ivan as long as you promise to stop looking at the floor and look at me when we talk and be my first friend here at the academy. I don't know anyone here and I am really nervous. I'm sure you can show me around cant ya? " I hoped if he thought I was vulnerable he would feel like he was helping me instead of the other way around.

"Yyou wwant me? Mmee to show you around?" he managed to say without stumbling over every single world. He even held eye contact for more than 3 seconds. Hey we are getting somewhere Issy thought!

I'm going to make this young guy confident after all! " Of course, I mean I don't know anyone else really and you are the only one that has even talked to me. So, what do ya say? " I gave him her adorable grin and puppy dog eyes that had always worked on my father. Oh, my poor father, I can't think of him now. I pushed that thought away for more private moments. "well will you be my first friend here?" I said almost as excitedly as I truly was. I reached over grabbing his fingers to get his attention.

"Ummm sure iff tthat is ww what you really want." Ivan told me. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted him to be my friend so I could help him or because I honestly just didn't know anyone else here. I pulled him closer and gave him a little friendly hug.

"Thank you, Thank you!" giggles poured out of my mouth. "I will be a good friend I promise." He could be just like the brother I never had!

Ivan stood proud and I could see the confidence just from the few moments we spent together. "I am going to grab my shoes quick and then I'm ready for dinner." I told him. He waited patiently at the door as I threw on some slip on shoes to go down for dinner. With one of my smiles I told him I was ready, " I am ready to go buddy!" I wrapped my arm around his and dragged him along like I knew where I was going. "oh" I giggled, " which way do we go? I guess you should lead, huh?"

"Ssurree." he said looking straight into my eyes. "Wee jjust have tto go down two flights of sstairs and turn rright into the dining area." Well at least he was looking at me when he talked now. I guess that's a start.

As we walked I continued to ramble on about my home and my horse Gallant. I made sure to not bring up my father, the topic was just too painful to share at the moment. Ivan just listened and nodded letting me know he was actually listening. I explained how for many years Gallant had been my best friend and I was going to miss him so terribly. I described the vineyard and all of the workers that had worked for our family for generations. Ivan really seemed to be interested in what I had to say. He listened very intently. Which was good because I could really use someone to talk to. I mean its not like Gallant ever answered back either so this worked out great. I giggled to myself.
