Kiyo woke up in the hospital. she had a couple scrapes and some bruises on her wrists from the handcuffs she had worn for hours, but besides that she was fine. the news was on when she awoke and she learned about what happened while she was out. Bakugou was saved, the leader of the villain group was captured, and All Might retired from being a pro hero.

damn. bet all his fans are crying in their rooms right now.

when the next news story came on Kiyo turned the tv off. the villains out there were getting stronger by the day, it's a matter of time before more heroes are forced to step down from their jobs.

stupid, it's all pointless.

the sound of the door opening caused Kiyo to stray away from her thoughts. her mother walked in alongside a man who either looked extremely tired or almost dead, she couldn't quite tell.

"oh Kiyo!" her mother sobbed as she saw that her daughter was awake, "I was so worried!"

Kiyo patted her mother's head that laid on her lap, "I'm alright, mom"

the man cleared his throat, "sorry to interrupt. my name is Shouta Aizawa, i'm a teacher at UA, and after speaking with your parents, it's decided that you will be enrolling into the hero course at our school in order to ensure your safety from the League of Villains"

Kiyo blinked, "I'd rather not"

Aizawa raised a brow at her response. she denied the chance to go to UA, again, without hesitation. he didn't understand why.

Nagi wiped the tears from her eyes and held onto her daughters hands, "you have to Kiyo, your father and I can't protect you like UA can. and you can learn so much there and make your quirk stronger. you don't have to be a hero, but need you to do this, for us, for your future"

Kiyo looked between her mother and the teacher and sighed. going to UA was never on her to-do list, it didn't lead to a simple life, but these events the past two days did she really have that choice anymore?

"fine, i'll go," she muttered. her mother cried once again, thanking her and promising that she'll be safe with the pro heroes that worked there.

Aizawa stood there uncomfortably as he watched the scene in front of him. those two were total opposites. the mother was overly emotional, and the girl barely showed any emotions at all. he knew that it had to do with her quirk, but damn, not even a smile for seeing her mom.

"on monday you'll start in my class, class 1-A, and you'll join the other students in the dorms we're currently building"

Kiyo nodded as she continued to pat her mother's forehead. the only reason she was doing this was for her parents. she wanted them to be happy.
