Fuyumi made sure the men of her family understood that they had to act civil while they visited Kiyo and Nagi. she had seen the horrible discovery of Botan's death on the news, all of Japan was talking about it now that it was released. when Endeavor came back home from the scene they decided that they should come together and help their long time friends.
the only reason Natsuo agreed to be in the same room as Endeavor was for them. Kiyo was another sister to him and Nagi had raised him and his siblings when their own mom couldn't.
the Todoroki boys may not be on great terms, but they all cared about the Taniguchi's like their own family. they all agreed to do this for them.
Fuyumi and Natsuo had managed to prepare their favorite foods and some comfort food that morning, Todoroki had brought Kiyo's favorite snacks, and Endeavor brought a scrapbook of pictures of him and Botan from their hero days along with pictures of their families together. Fuyumi actually made the scrapbook, but Endeavor told her what pictures he wanted to put in it.
Nagi had been the one to answer the door when they arrived at their house. they lived in the same neighborhood but with all they had they decided to drive.
Nagi gave the Todoroki's the best smile she could muster, but it didn't compare to the one she always wore, "I should've known you wouldn't take no for an answer, Fuyumi"
Fuyumi gave Nagi a hug with her arm that was free of food, "you're our family, Nagi, I can't let you suffer alone"
Nagi wiped her tears away and moved so that they all could come in. she was so glad that their troubled family could come together for them, it gave her hope that they could one day work things out.
the Todoroki's knew this house like their own so they divided to prepare for the meal and long awaited gathering.
Shoto had stayed in the hall with Nagi, "is Ki here?"
"she's in her room, she's been there all morning. i'm sure you'll be able to bring her out"
Shoto gave her a curt nod before going to the other side of the house where Kiyo's room was. he knocked on her door and stood there for a few moments, but she didn't come. he figured that she was asleep. she had slept when she was overwhelmed since they were kids.
he quietly opened the door and shut it behind him. he set the snacks on the table beside the door and took in the room. it hasn't changed much since they were kids. it was more bare since she brought most of her decorations to UA, but the colors and big decorations like her fairy lights and first guitar still remained.
