Riptide was going to go on another one of his stupid visits to JMA to see his "friends", which meant Squid would nothing to do other then just... h a n g.

But this time...oohh this time he asked- no demanded Riptide to let him come along. As much as he hated the dragons there, it was probably better then doing nothing for a week.

And plus I'd see Flame... his mind whispered to him.

Wait huh? He thought, tiredness seeping into his mind and body as they landed for the night to rest and continue the trip later.

Whatever....he couldn't care less about whatever the moons his weird brain had to say, he curled behind a rock in the slow moving river safely and fell unconscious after only a few waking seconds.

"Squid? Time to go." Called Riptide's annoyingly commanding voice through the water.

He groaned as he lifted himself to his feet, feeling the fresh air wash over him as he stood up, yawning and stretching his limbs.

"But I didn't get breakfast yet" he whined. He'd only just got up! Did Riptide seriously expect him to fly just like that?? Have some respect! He thought, annoyed.

Riptide rolled his eyes at him but agreed to let him get a fish or two in before taking off again.

The morning sun was gently beaming down at them as they flew through the cloudless sky. He had to admit it did look nice.

After about a whole day of flying, with many stops ofcourse, they finally landed on the front platform of jade mountain academy.

As soon as they landed, a royal blue seawing, he was pretty sure named Tsunami or whatever, bursted out of the cave opening with a excited smile on her face.

"Your finally here! You kept me waiting, you Squidbrain!" She said, tackling Riptide to the ground and standing above him. (Ripnami anyone? 👀)

And then, what followed her...weirdly and yes definitely definitely randomly made his heart flutter just a little, was the familiar face of the skywing he hadn't seen for a long time

Mmmm yes I am gonna just end it there because uhh yea I just wanna get something out lol it's been too long..

I'm gonna get to writing more but for now....take a short lil chapter lol
