He chuckled. "Oh, got a little hot in the night, thought I'd...cool off" he joked, not sure if it would be a good move to bring up the real reason.

Winter, to his pleasant surprise, seemed to just get ready to go back to sleep. Laying his head back down and closing his eyes.

Was he really satisfied with that answer?

Oh Qibli, you absolute idiot. He's just ignoring, don't you understand yet? He hates you more then you know.

But...but look at how he didn't move his tail off mine...wait, his tail's on mine??

As he realized that in fact yes, the Icewing's tail was on top of his own, red blush crawled it's way onto his face.

The Icewing didn't seem to notice, or many he did, but he didn't react to it. In fact, Qibli would even dare say he liked it and intentionally didn't move.

But ofcourse that idea was shot down faster then a skywing could fly.

THREE MOONS Qibli, you seriously need to stop projecting your feelings onto others.

Qibli looked to the doorway a few feet away. Soft light grey light was gently shining in, suggesting that it was early morning. Meaning only the earliest early birds would be up.

Classes wouldn't start or a few more hours..why not sleep in?

He closed his eyes and settled back in. a grin still set on his face as he faded away again.

Hours later, the former outclaw's eyes fluttered open.

He expected the cold touch of Winter...but was left with empty space. He sat up, looking around, but saw no one else in the room.

He must've left already...

Then the bell rang two times.

Wait..only two? Oh snakes, I slept in

He thought with panic, and instead of jumping or sliding off the ledge normally, he slipped on the cold while trying to stand, and ended up falling face first onto the ground with a loud thump.

Moons..why can't I ever do anything right? He groaned in his mind as he stood up again.

He shook his wings out and started racing down the hallway outside. Being late was not on his list of things to do today.

As he almost slipped again running into his first class of the day, group discussion, he noticed the cold gaze of an icewing prince in the corner. He so desperately wanted to sit next to h-

Wait...why am I thinking like this?? Uuughhhh is my mind cursed or something?? I can't sit next to him! That would be something way too awkward that I am NOT ready to deal with right now..

So, at the loud request of his horrid mind, he took a seat next to Umber. (Who we all know is having his own gay thoughts about Qibli, but this isn't about them shhhhh)

The class went on as usual, but Qibli didn't pay attention, he couldn't. He just couldn't wipe off the smooth feeling of Winter's icey slick scales next his..of his pale blue wing under his.

And even with the sand storm in his mind, outside, he looked..calm. only difference from his usual zone-outs was the constant twitching of his wing tips.

As break was finally released on the students, the young sandwing immediately went to look for his snow colored companion.

But he's clearly avoiding you...I don't think you should....

But I want to..I want to so badly..

After probably a very awkward moment, he decided to bite the bullet and try to find him. He just..wanted to talk to him.

Then the image of the scars and cuts popped in his head again.

And suddenly, he recognized them. As if pieces of a puzzle slipped into place..he recognized them.

Flashes of memories raced through his head. Sitting alone. Crying. Claws. A blade. A dagger to the wrist. Tears of pain.

So uh, yea ima go ahead and end it like that....THERE WILL BE SOME FLUFF N COMFORT IN THE NEXT CHAPTER I PROMISEE
