"Come on Jeongin time for your appointment!"

Seungmin adjusted his hearing aids before heading to see his brother.

Jeongin took seungmin's hand and headed out the door, "are you excited?"

Seungmin nodded, "I am. I haven't used my voice in so long. I really hope this works."

Jeongin smiled and ruffled the taller's hair, "don't worry min. I'm sure it will work."

Seungmin and Jeongin sat in the waiting room at the doctor's office. Seungmin bounced his leg up and down nervously. His hands were shaking and his face was red.

"Seungmin, relax okay?"

The brunette nodded in response.

A girl walked up to the two with a clipboard in her hands, "Kim Seungmin?"

Jeongin nodded and took his brother by the hand; following behind the nurse.

"The doctor will be with you shortly."

Seungmin sat on the leather hospital bed; Jeongin in a chair next to it.

"It's okay min. Look at my lips as I'm signing." Jeongin said the words out loud as he signed.

"Lourk as ma les as I'm eaee" Seungmin said out loud, trying to match the words with the signs.

Jeongin's eyes furrowed as he frowned.

"Ess ma boys eird?"

Jeongin gave Seungmin a reassuring smile, "no min. Your voice is fine. Just need a little more practice." He said aloud as Jeongin tried to match the sounds with his lips.

"Kim Seungmin?"

Jeongin and Seungmin looked at the door to see the doctor standing there with a clipboard.

"Okay Seungmin, I know it's very very muffled and quiet, but you can kind of hear now right?" His doctor signed as he said the words aloud.

"Yes." Seungmin signed along with his voice.

The doctor adjusted seungmin's new hearing aids carefully before smiling, "you're all done Seungmin. Make sure to let us know if you have any problems."

Seungmin smiled, "ank yu" he signed.

"You're welcome Seungmin."

Hyunjin Hyung
We're all going to hang out at the arcade before the festival. Do you want to come?

Seungmin
Sure. Can my brother come too?

Hyunjin Hyung
Of course! See you there!

Seungmin put on his shoes before telling for his brother, "in! Tam to go!"

"Coming!!" Jeongin yelled back as he jogged out of his room.

The two arrived at the arcade fairly quickly since they didn't live far from it. Seungmin saw Hyunjin through the window and perked up; smiling immediately.

"Hunjan!"

Seungmin took Jeongin's hand and ran into the arcade. Hyunjin turned his head to see Seungmin and Jeongin running towards them. Seungmin ran into Hyunjin's arms, making the taller trip back.

Seungmin pulled away, "missed yuu."

Hyunjin's eyes widened, "your voice?? You're talking?"

Seungmin smiled, "I haf bin...praking..for..you!" Seungmin took his time trying this best to pronounce each word correctly for Hyunjin.

"Oh my gosh that's so amazing Seungmin!! Can you hear me too?"

Seungmin made a "kind of" gesture with his hand, "I got new..kind of hereen ains. It..is..fery..kuiet..and..muhfle!"

Hyunjin's smile was so bright. He was so happy that Seungmin was getting better at speaking.

"Ooff..hunjan..amost fergut," Seungmin took his brother's arm, "this jongun..my..bruhter!"

It took a while to figure out what Seungmin was saying but it finally clicked after a few seconds, "Ah! Hello jongun! I'm Hyunjin."

Jeongin chuckled, "Jeongin. Nice to meet you."

"Oh, Jeongin, sorry," Hyunjin put his hand on the back one his neck, embarrassed.

"By the way thank you for taking care of Seungmin and hanging out with him. He's never really had that many friends."

Hyunjin's smile faded. Jeongin obviously didn't know about their past.

"It's no problem."

Minho turned his head to see Seungmin, "Oh hey! Seungmin! Over here! Come sit with us!"

Minho and his friends were at a table eating pizza together. They all looked so happy and nice, except for the one girl. Minhee. That's her name.

Seungmin smiled and ran towards the table, putting his little purse down next to him. Hyunjin and Jeongin followed behind him; Hyunjin sitting to the left of him and Jeongin sitting to the right.

"You know we never really got to know each other that well, why don't we do that now," Minho spoke up.

Everyone took their turns saying their interests and their personalities. They all bonded fairly quickly, except for Minhee who just sulked in the corner, staring at Hyunjin and Seungmin. Seungmin made eye contact with her and quickly looked away. Oh my god. It was her.

"Hey Seungmin!" Seungmin turned his head towards Minhee, "wanna go play some games with me?"

Seungmin hesitantly shrugged, "cood..you say that..ahgan..slow..pleese?"

Minhee got up from her seat and intertwined her fingers with the brunette, "Let's. Go. Play. Some. Games. To. Geh. Ther!"

Jeongin was eyeing Minhee the whole time. He nudged Hyunjin's shoulder, "Who's that girl? She's really touchy with Seungmin."

Hyunjin looked over at Minhee to see her shaking Seungmin "playfully".

"That's Minhee."

Jeongin continued to stare at her, "I don't like her."

Jeongin walked over to the two, "hey Seungmin! Before you go with Minhee, could you hold my phone for me? I didn't bring my bag and my pants don't have any pockets."

Seungmin smiled then nodded before Minhee dragged him out of sight. Jeongin sighed and went back to the group.
