Wayo's POV

Pha called me and said we needed to talk not long after I got home. I'd barely had a chance to breathe and my thoughts were still filled with the memory of his arms around Pring, so I asked if we could meet at his place for breakfast. He agreed, so I decided to pick up some pastries on the way to his apartment.

"Yo? I'm seeing you a lot recently," Joss said as he got in line behind me.

"I guess that makes up for all the years when we barely saw each other at all," I smiled brightly. It was always nice to see a friend.

"So are you going to invite me to your wedding?" Joss asked, pointing to my ring. "Or have you not picked a date yet?"

"Well it's just a promise ring right now," I answered. I could feel the blush rising on my cheeks as I looked down at the ring on my finger. "We haven't actually decided to get engaged yet."

"Oh, I guess I'm confused," Joss gave me a worried look. "The guy you were with at the party said he was going to ask his boyfriend to marry him. So I just assumed. Did you decide it would be better to wait? A lot of people kind of rush in because they know they can get divorced later, so it's good to see that some people are still taking marriage seriously."

"Yeah, it's not a good idea to get engaged before you're ready," I said. I smiled, though it felt like my face was cracking. Pha hadn't proposed, he'd definitely just said promise ring. There was a "for now" somewhere when he asked, but we hadn't talked about marriage at all.

Joss and I continued chatting until I placed my order. I got Pha a coffee and myself a hot chocolate along with a small selection of pastries that could serve as our breakfast.

"Finally," Pha growled out, pulling me into his arms as soon as I crossed the threshold. I held him, feeling comforted by his arms around me and felt my tension begin to fade away. Pha must have felt the same, because he was putting down the drinks and food and pulling me to the couch before I could reply. "I missed you, baby."

"I missed you too," I answered but my next words were stopped by his mouth. He pulled me onto his lap, his arms running up my back as his hands pulled me down by the shoulder, grinding me on top of his arousal. I knew we needed to talk, knew that the questions in my head weren't the kind of questions you had when you felt secure in your relationship, so while he touched my body, I was trying to think.

"Stop him!" my shoulder angel said right next to my ear. "If you keep going, you aren't going to be in the mood to talk but you've got to straighten this out."

"Just make love to him," my shoulder devil said, popping up next to my other ear. "Let your body do the talking for you."

The devil slid down my arm, pulling my hand until it was under Pha's shirt against his skin.

"You really need to actually talk," the angel said, he was smiling as he moved my other hand until my fingers were threading through Pha's hair, "but maybe just for now, you could let it go. You don't want to focus on the wrong things."

"Yeah, focus down here," the devil said, as I felt Pha unzipping my pants.

"Okay," I answered them, forgetting everything but how Pha made my body feel. Everything else could wait.

We didn't end up talking about anything important, but we did a lot of other things that made both of us happy. Then we had a late breakfast and spent the weekend together. When I was in his arms, I realized, I didn't need anything else. I felt safe and loved. Maybe there were times when words weren't that necessary.

My last week at Forth's office was almost done. To tell the truth, I had no idea taking pictures would be so stressful. The entire campaign had to be finished and photographed and approved. We went to several different locations, taking trailers full of stuff and tired looking staff everywhere we went.
