I T ' S B E E N D A Y S
It's been days, isn't it?
well you might have lost count; or not
the small glimmer of hope inside me thought
but I didn't (lost count)
the loss was too deep to be covered
so I left it as it was
just to fall in it once againWell it's been days, isn't it?
did you receive the tokens of prayers I'd sent you
or is it still stuck inside your mailbox
which you haven't opened in days
It contained memories
memories of us together
like how we have painted it
with a little tinge of our passion
or the tradition of checking the mailbox every morning
just to check if your old grandparents had sent you letters or notWell it's been days, isn't it?
Since I visited your gravestone
you must be happy with your grandparents but what about me?
why didn't you check the mailbox as I told you to
when I was away from you
had you opened the mailbox,
I didn't have to visit you here
with my own gravestone beside youBut now we don't have to count the days
