Hi! My name is Forest. I know it seems like a weird name but my dad says it reminds him of my mom. I never met my mom she left after I was born. My dad has told me stories about her and about how pretty she is and he says I might be able to meet her one day.
Anyway, I need to get to school or I'm going to be late. I yell to my dad as I'm walking out, "Bye dad, I'm going to school!" "Bye, have a good day!" He yells back. I walk to school and when I get there I find my friend Grover waiting by my locker.
"Hey dude," I say opening my locker. "Hello," he responds.
"You ready for the math test?"
"Yeah, one of my other friends helped me study."
Grover has a bunch of other friends at a camp he goes to. One time when I asked if I could go to this camp and meet his friends, he told me that I could maybe at the end of the school year. Which means I have to wait a couple more months as it is currently April.
Grover and I walk to our first class and sit down just as the bell rings.
-Timeskip brought to you by Frank the giant goldfish-
It is currently lunch time and Grover and I are sitting at a table alone. Suddenly two giant black dogs crash through the wall and no one notices. I'm frozen in fear and Grover jumps up and grabs reed pipes out of his bag. He starts playing a tune and the dogs are swallowed by nature.
"What just happened?" I ask.
"Follow me," He says and gets in his car.
Grover starts driving and I ask him, "Where are we going?"
"To my summer camp."
"But I thought I couldn't go there until the end of the school year?"
"Change of plans. Call your dad and tell him where your going."
"Okay." I call my dad and tell him that Grover is taking me to his summer camp. Surprisingly my dad is okay with me missing school for this. When we get to the camp Grover leads my a giant blue house.
"This is the big house," he says, "Now come on." We go inside and Grover yells for someone named Chiron. An older guy in a wheelchair comes up and introduces himself as Chiron.
I follow him back outside and he explains to me about the Greek Gods and how they have children called demigods and stuff.
"Is Grover a demigod?" I ask
"No," he says, "Grover is a satyr. I am a centaur. Your godly parent will probably claim you soon."
Sure enough as soon as he said that I am bathed in a green light. "All hail Forest, son of Demeter."
A girl maybe a year older than me comes up and introduces herself as Katie my sister and head counselor. She shows me around camp and afterwards helps me settle in. I don't end up going back to school until the summer ends.
A/N: This was shorter than I expected but I hope you enjoyed it. I'm sorry that I don't publish often but I get distracted easily when writing and I am pretty busy. I also lack motivation a lot.
