"Jesse?" I uttered with shock. 'How could he be here?' Running up to him I threw my hands around his muscular waist and buried my face into his chest."Hey, Clem." he spoke, grinning like a fool, as he started to pat my comfortably covered head, calmingly.
"Who's this Clem?" Luke questioned, placing his hands on his hips.
(A/N: Damn Luke. You sassy?)
"This is my old friend, Jesse." I announced proudly, turning back to the group.
"I swear Clem, you have the most beautiful voice ever." Jesse shamelessly admitted. An unfamilar heat came upon my cheeks.. I faced him and gave him a small punch on the arm.
He gave me a soft chuckle. "Why can you never accept compliments..." He quietly joked, gazing at the ground, as if he remembered something.
Luke observed our exchange, his chest squeezed with an unknown emotion. Envy.
I let out a small playful scoff, and turned back to the group. We all waited, one awkward minute.
"Well 'Jesse'? Since you obviously know Clementine, I guess you're welcome here..." Pete stood there with his arms crossed. I could tell the decision was hard for him to make.. I sent Pete my most thankful expression.
'Thank you, Pete.'
He returned a small fatherly smile.
"Wait we're just going to let him in?" Luke exclaimed wide eyed and loudly.
"Why not?" Pete raised his brow and looked back at Luke.
"Why not? Well, first we barely know him and secondly..." Luke trailed off, we all waited for him to continue, he just stared off questionably.
"Well, it's late. We shoulda' head in already." Pete yawned and turned back, heading inside the cabin.
"Right. Jesse, you can sleep on my bed." He gave me a quizzical look. "Don't even-... I'm sleeping on the couch." I waved to the remaining people outside, and too stepped back inside before he could say anything.
Within five minutes, I had gotten changed and obtained a nice warm blanket. Within another two minutes, I was away in dream land.
(A/N: Don't ask me. Clem goes sanic speed.)
*3rd person POV*
Jesse stared back at the door Clementine had promptly entered.
He turned and shyly exchanged words with Alvin, who had recently took his wife in, so she could rest. After conversing, Jesse knew this group had it's flaws. I mean, what group didn't?
He walked into the cabin, and immediately took sight of the sleeping angel on the couch.
(A/N: oh satan.)
He ran his hand threw his slightly matted hair, letting out a relieved sigh. A smile crept onto his face as he silently walked over to her. Staring at her sleeping form, he quietly spoke to himself.
"Goodnight, Clementine."
