George glared out of the car window, head rested in his hand. He watched as the trees went by and how the scenery changed as the car sped by.

"Come on George, it's not going to be that bad." George's mum spoke.

George had been silent the whole car ride. In fact, he hadn't spoke to his parents much for the past couple weeks, not ever since they informed him about moving to Florida.

George was born and grew up in London, England. He has never lived anywhere else, that was his home. It was where his friends were, where his life was.

So he was definitely more than upset to be leaving.

"George. You're too young to live by yourself, you haven't got a job and we couldn't just leave you behind in England!" His mum said after she got no reply from George previously.

"But we didn't have to move." George finally spoke up.

His mum gave him a look of pity before turning round and looking back at the road ahead of them.

"George It will be for the best, you'll see." His mum replied.

George just sighed, thinking about everything that is about to change, when he was greeted with the 'Welcome to Florida' sign, causing him to let out an even bigger sigh.

They drove for a while longer, George lost track of time so he didn't know exactly how long, when the car came to a stop. Pulling in front of a large, nicely built, two-story house.

The outer walls of the house were a white, creamy colour, large windows were placed all around the house. The front yard was full of plants and flowers, and it had a brick path leading up to the front door.

"You grab your luggage George, we will grab the rest." His mum said, giving him a warm smile.

George couldn't return the gesture, he simply stepped out of the car, grabbed his suitcase and other bags and walked up to the front door.

As he walked in he was greeted with a wide, empty corridor, leading off to separate rooms.

His mum had already explained where George's room was, without looking anywhere else in the house, he walked up the stairs and made his way into his new bedroom, placing all of his stuff on the double bed.

As he placed down his things, he let out a large sigh. Although he was exhausted, especially as the time zones were very different; that is something he'd have to get used to, he started to unpack his things.

**

Around an hour or two passed, George had just finished unpacking his things and decorating his bedroom, his room was a lot bigger than his one back in England.

His bed was placed at the back wall, in the centre, in front of a large window. His walls were a deep blue colour. His desk sat in the corner, opposite his door, the desk held his PC set up and had a black, gaming chair pushed underneath.

He looked around, he couldn't help but let a small smile creep on his face. His room looked great. He also had the odd picture, shelf or some form of wall decoration on his wall to make it less bland.

He walked over to the wardrobe and draws across his room, beside his bed, and placed the remaining clothes in his hand, into the draws and wardrobe.

He grabbed his phone from his pocket, turning it on he saw that it was 5pm.

"Jesus, time went quick." George huffed, he was exhausted but he was also starving.

He opened his bedroom door and started to make his way down the stairs. His parents greeted him with wide smiles.

"Great timing! I'm just setting food out now!" His mum said, followed by a smile.

George walked over to the dining table and took a seat opposite his dad.

Not long after, his mum joined them, along with plates of food. The family started to eat in silence.

George's head rested in his hand, elbow on his table and his other hand twirling the food around on his plate with a fork.

"Are you excited for school tomorrow George?" His dad asked, filling his mouth with a fork full of food.

"I guess." George replied in a low tone, trying to not make it too obvious how much he didn't want to be here, but failed miserably it was very obvious.

"Come on George, lighten up. I bet you'll make lots of friends!" His mum said in a cheerful tone, trying to lighten the mood.

"Maybe." Was all George could say, he stepped out of his seat, bringing his food to the kitchen counter and walked back up the stairs to his bedroom.

He slumped onto his bed, turning onto his side and switching on his phone, scrolling through twitter.

It wasn't long after that he fell into a deep sleep, preparing himself for the next day.

Sorry that this was very basic and boring, I want this story to be as detailed as possible, meaning that some chapters are going to be less exciting as I want it to be realistic and for you guys to get to know the characters and everything!

I didn't put this as the first chapter as it's more just as introduction to the story and nothing much is happening.

Just so you know what's going on and for a little bit of context, this isn't going to be one of those fanfics where George and Dream fall in love in like 5 chapters, it's going to be a long, realistic process:)

I'm really excited to write this and hopefully i can come up with some stuff to make it exciting;)

(Also just saying i've like kind of planned how i want this story to end and all i can say it sorry lol)
