The rest of the school week flew by. George and Dream had become a lot closer; George would consider him as his best friend. Even though they have only known each other a week, they have created a good friendship, they have a lot in common.

Dream has even showed him around the city they were in, Orlando. There were some beautiful places, George was starting to love Florida as they days went by. He missed his friends and his old life, but Dream was making it all worth it.

George's parents have noticed the change in George, even back in England he was not the happiest of people. There was never a reason why, he was popular in school, good grades, but he always just struggled with life itself. However, ever since he met Dream, all of that started to ease away, he felt happy.

It was only 7am on a Saturday, usually George would be sleeping still, feeling sorry for himself and dreading the next week. However, him and Dream had planned to spend the day together, they had not spent a full day together yet, they did not have time due to school. They would usually just hang out after school and talk on call or text until late at night, sometime to early in the morning.

George quickly got dressed, Dream told him he did not need to wear anything fancy as they would most likely end up touring the city again. So, George settled on some navy jeans and a white t-shirt, the weather in Florida was a lot warmer than England.

"George! Someone is at the door for you!" His mum called.

A large grin formed on George's face as he rushed down the stairs, trying not to trip on his way. As he looked at the bottom of the stairs, he saw Dream standing in the doorway, wide smile on his face. The two smiled at one another for a moment.

"Ready Georgie?" Dream Chuckled.

George walked down the rest of the stairs to meet Dream. "I told you not to call me that."

George's mum stared in awe as she saw the happy expressions across both of their faces, that is not how you look at your friend, anyone could see that. It filled her with happiness to see George gaining his happiness back too, she had not seen him this happy in a long time.

"We better get going, bye mum!" George spoke.

"Bye! Have a good day both of you!" She called back.

"Thank you, you too." Dream replied, smiling, before walking out of the door, George following close behind.

The two boys were now walking side by side down the street, often glancing at each other, locking eyes which caused them to giggle. Dream was now just staring at George, lost in his thoughts.

"What?" George giggled as he noticed Dream staring.

"Nothing." Dream smirked before looking back ahead of him.

George continued walking with Dream, following him to wherever he was taking them. They stayed in a comfortable silence for some time.

"So, where are you taking me." George nudged into Dream's side, Dream hardly even moved, he was a lot stronger than George.

"A café, my favourite café." Dream replied, smiling, but not making eye contact with George, he continued looking ahead.

George hummed in response, he looked around, memorised by the beautiful scenery surrounding them. Everything was so green, so peaceful. It was like something you'd read in a book; It was perfect. Dream looked at George in awe as he saw him, lips separated as he took in the atmosphere, Dream chuckled to himself.

After walking for some time, the two arrived at a small, cosy café. They walked inside and took a seat at a table in the far corner, it had a window view, which George adored. Dream handed George a menu, to which they both started to search.

"What are you getting? I'm buying." Dream asked, still looking down at his menu, he quickly looked up when he felt George's eyes on hm.

George gave him a death stare.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm buying, simple." Dream chuckled.

George sighed as he searched the menu. "Well, It's your favourite café, you must know it well. Order me something, surprise me." George smiled before placing down the menu.

Dream smiled as he called over a worker, informing them that they were now ready to order.

**

Both boys were crying of laughter as they wandered down the street, they had left the café a while ago and were now walking around whilst George told Dream stories of when he was back in England.

"Do you miss it?" Dream spoke up after calming himself from all the laughter.

George hummed in response, confused as to what Dream was asking.

"England, do you miss it?" Dream asked, whilst locking eyes with George as they placed themselves on a wooden bench that sat in the middle of a local park.

"I did, and I guess sometimes I still do. But I prefer it here, I'm happier here." George gave Dream a warm smile, Dream returned the gesture.

"I would miss it a lot more if I hadn't met you, you've made me love Florida, I'm glad I moved, otherwise I wouldn't have met you." George added, losing eye contact with Dream to try hide the obvious redness on his face.

Dream smiled at George's response, the two sat there in a comfortable silence for a while, enjoying each other's company.

**

A while passed; Dream had walked George back to his house after a long day spent together.

"You're back! How was your day?" George's mum asked as he walked through the door.

"It was good! We just walked around the city for a while." George explained, he could not contain his wide smile.

His mum smiled at him, giving him an odd look, George knew what that look was.

"No mum! It's not like that, he's my best friend!" George spoke, his face turning bright red.

"Whatever you say." She teasingly replied, before walking back into the dining room.

George walked up to his bedroom, thinking.

He knew he did not have any form of feelings for Dream, they were best friends, nothing more, right? I mean it was different to his past friendships. The butterflies, the blushing.

Oh no.

He was quickly startled out of his thoughts when he heard his phone ping, It was a message from Dream.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Dream

Dream
I had a good day today! I'll see you on Monday for school!

George
I had a good time too, see you then.

Dream
Love you Georgie!

George
Goodnight Dream.

Dream
Say it back, pleaseee.

George
Nope
--------------------------------------------------------------

Dream would always say that to George.

'I love you.'

But George could never bring himself to say it back, he did not say it to anyone, including past relationships. He never really talked about why, but hearing Dream saying it was nice. Dream joked about it, but he did not care that George didn't say it back.
