"Your girlfriend?" George said, both heartbroken and confused.
Dream had never mentioned having a girlfriend before. Part of George felt betrayed, even though he shouldn't, Dream and him had grown so close only for him to have a girlfriend. It took at lot for George to hold back the tears forming in his eyes.
"Venessa, this is George, my best friend." Dream introduced.
"Oh cool! Nice to meet you George, funny Dream hasn't mentioned you before!" She replied, she actually looked quite annoyed.
"Funny, he has never mentioned you either." George scoffed.
"George.." Dream tried to speak before George quickly cut him off.
"I'm going to class Dream." George said before quickly walking off.
George actually had a free period, Dream knew this but decided it'd be best to leave him, but he couldn't bear to stand around with Venessa. He tried holding back the tears as long as he could, but as soon as he stepped onto the school field, pouring rain, the tears started streaming out.
It hurt a lot, he didn't want to be mad at Dream or blame him for how he was feeling, as it wasn't his fault. Dream had no clue George has such strong feelings towards him, but all George felt was anger and betrayal. Why couldn't Dream just have told him?
The school day went by pretty quick, George dogged Dream all day, anytime he saw him he was with Venessa. Finally, it was the end of the day, George could not wait to get home. Luckily, his mum was able to pick him up, meaning he wouldn't have to walk in the rain or wait too long to get to his bed.
His mum was parked in front of the school, George quickly rushed to the car and silently got in. His mum looked at his to see his eyes red and puffy.
"George, what's wrong?" She asked in a soothing tone, looking at him with pity.
George looked at his mum, making eye contact. Around his eyes were red and puffy, inside his eyes were also red. His eyes were glassy, tears forming. Face still wet from the previous tears he shed not too long ago.
"Dream has a girlfriend." George mumbled, trying his best not to cry.
"Oh George." His mum said comfortingly, pulling her son into a tight hug.
George couldn't help but sob whilst in her arms. They stayed like that for a while before they started driving home, George staring out the window, wiping his tears the whole ride home.
George has immediately sunk into his bed, tightly hugging his bed quilts. He knew he shouldn't feel like this, they were best friends, nothing more. But he couldn't help it, he loved Dream, there was no point denying it.
He was quickly interrupted from his phone by a ping on his phone, It was a message from Dream, he really didn't want to answer, but he couldn't ignore him. He didn't want to lose Dream.

DreamDream
Hey, you okay? I didn't see you at all today.George
I'm fine, just didn't feel too good today.Dream
Oh okay, anything you want to talk about?George
NoDream
Are you sure? You sound upset; did I do something?George
No, you didn't do anything, I'm just tired.--------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a minute or so since George replied, Dream had left him on read. Or that's what George thought, until he was getting a call from Dream. He was tempted to ignore it, but he knew that Dream would think something was up, so he picked up.
"Hi." George said.
"George, what's up?" Dream quickly asked, sounding worried.
"I told you, I'm just tired." George lied.
"Oh come on, I'm your best friend, what's wrong?" Dream asked again.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?" George asked forwardly.
Dream was caught off guard, he was silent for a moment. He didn't expect George to ask him straight up. Dream sighed.
"I didn't expect her to come home so early, I thought she was going to be away for another couple months." Dream explained.
"That doesn't answer my question Dream." George said, sounding annoyed.
"Look, I wasn't expecting to meet you okay? I wasn't expecting to get this close to you, I thought that maybe." Dream sighed "It doesn't matter."
"You're kidding? It doesn't matter? You do not get to allow me to open up to you, make me trust you, for me to find out that you haven't even been honest at all. You can not sit here and tell me 'It doesn't matter' when this whole time, this whole time! You haven't been honest with me. Like you have no idea how that makes me feel." George snapped.
"George, what? I don't see why this is such a big deal! You're my best friend, can you not make such a big deal out of this?" Dream snapped back.
"God you honestly have no clue, do you? My best friend wouldn't treat me like that. Actually, what am I talking about? Of course they would! You're no different from everyone else in my life, you just lie like everyone else. I can't believe I was actually this stupid to be honest." George scoffed.
George didn't even give Dream time to respond, he hung up the call and let the tears fall out.
**
Dream sat there silently, staring at his phone. He and George had never had an argument before, they've disagreed on things and got annoyed at one another, but nothing like this. He didn't know what to do, he felt so bad. He knows he's in the wrong, he should've told George about Venessa.
To be honest, Dream doesn't even know why he didn't tell George. He should've, but he didn't, why?
Both Dream and George knew that the next few days were going to be rough, maybe even longer. But surely they'd work this out, surely one girl wouldn't affect their whole friendship, right?

Literally spent over 2 hours on this chapter and it didn't even turnout that good, I feel like the chapters are getting worse as they go on lol, sorry.
Sorry I'm being slow updating this, I'm trying to get at least one chapter a day but like I have school and then I have to write them when I get home and I'm tired lol.
Probably only going to write this one chapter for today because I'm super tired, idk how I feel about this story really.
Anyways, have a good day, make sure to look after yourself:)
