"May they rest in peace," a priest said.

Voices were hushed as a small figure walked up to the coffins. She was dressed in all black. Tears slipped down her face as the rain soaked through her clothes.

"I'll miss you mom and dad," the girl said.

A tall man with short blond hair, a short goatee, hazel eyes and a defined facial structure stepped behind her. His large height, broad shoulders, and serious expression give him an intimidating presence, but all that showed today was sadness and hurt for the little girl. He set his hand on the girl's shoulder.

"Come now Gabi, it's time to go..." the man said.

"W-where do I go Reiner?" Gabi replied.

"You're coming to live with me, your parents asked this of me in case something should happen to them," Reiner said.

Gabi sniffled and rubbed her eyes. By now, the crowd has dispersed, leaving just Reiner and Gabi. Reiner noticed Gabi was shivering from the cold and being soaked. He gently took her hand.

"Let's go home," Reiner said.

2 months later-

Gabi pulled her boots on and crept to the door. Right as she was about to leave the lights switched on.

"Where are you going?" Reiner asked.

"To visit my parents grave," Gabi replied.

"No, you aren't," Reiner said.

"Why not?" Gabi replied.

"One, it's way too late and two, it's dangerous," Reiner said.

"You are not going. End of discussion."

"You can't stop me from visiting my parents grave," Gabi replied.

"The hell I can," Reiner said.

"You are not leaving. That is that."

"You've never had a problem with it before!" Gabi snapped.

"Before?" Reiner said.

Gabi fell silent.

"You've done this several times in the past, haven't you?" Reiner asked.

"So, what if I have?!" Gabi replied.

"So what?!" Reiner yelled.

"How about your parents huh?! What do you think they would feel if you were sneaking out?!"

"Don't you DARE bring them into this!" Gabi snapped.

"You're not my dad! Hell, you're not even my brother!"

"That may be but I am your guardian! I will not let you go out at 10:30 at night to visit your parents grave!" Reiner said.

"If you have such a strong desire, you can go in the morning."

"You can't tell me what to do!" Gabi yelled.

"I can and I damn will!" Reiner yelled back.

"You're acting like a spoiled brat! Your parents did not raise you that way! So, quit acting like such an arrogant, spoiled, little brat!"
