Hey, It's Hannah. Hannah Baker. That's right. Don't adjust your... Whatever device you're hearing this on. It's me, live and in stereo. No return engagements, no encore, and this time, absolutely no requests. Get a snack, settle in. Because I'm about to tell you the story of my life.

ADINA JENSEN laid in her bed staring at the picture frame on her bedside table. There sat a picture of her and Hannah Baker, her best friend on one of their Rosie Diner dates, only about a month from the present. Adina closed her eyes as tears ran down her face. This couldn't be real.

It's been about a week. A month and one week since Jeff, whilst Hannah's death was still so fresh in her mind.

Poor Adina Jensen, the girl couldn't seem to catch a break. She was losing loved ones left and right. She didn't know how to deal with it all, and she just felt like she was spiraling.

A knock sounded at the girls door and all she did was sigh, wipe her eyes before turning over with her back to the door, not wanting to talk or face whoever it was on the other side of that door.

There stood her mother and father in the doorway, standing there with pitiful smiles, and broken hearts. She didn't need to turn to feel the way they were looking at her. It's been the same for a month.

"Good morning, Adina," Lainie Jensen said as she sat on her daughters bed next to her, rubbing her leg over the comforter. "We just came to see if you were up for school. We wanted to let you know that you don't have to go."

"If you want to stay home again today, you can," Her father said, helping her sit up. His heart broke again every time he saw her red face and bloodshot eyes.

Adina sat with her back against her headboard as she took the glass of water from her fathers hands, thanking him quietly. She thought about it, but the idea of sitting here in her funk all day another day, bawling her eyes out didn't seem anything short of dramatic and depressing, and besides she didn't want to be left alone with her thoughts, that was a dangerous game she didn't feel like playing today.

But she so badly wanted to stay away from Montgomery even just for a few school hours, but she knew wherever she went he'd always find her. He'd never let her forget it.

"I-uh. I think I'm ok. There's no point in just laying here all sad, and I'm sure if either of them were still here they'd tell me I'm being dramatic,"Aj said trying to make herself feel better, she sipped the water, enjoying the cool feeling on her raw throat. "I'm gonna get ready." The younger girl sat her cup down and turned to get herself out of bed, and her mom stood up, kissing her forehead smiling.

"Breakfast is ready when you come down. We're gonna start having family meals together again." Lainie informed her youngest child.

Aj nodded before standing up and walking to her bathroom and closing the bathroom door. The youngest Jensen turned the water up as hot as it would go, before taking her hair out of its bun and then stripping from her pajamas. It was really a shirt that Hannah had left over at her house and a pair of boxer shorts that she was positive were Monty's that he left.
