Try again

Chapter 3

Previously on Try Again...

"His name is Henry Daughtry. Smoke conduit. Has a knack for breaking out of places, and you haven't seen your daughter since you were taken to Curdun Cay." I say. "How do you know that?" Hank asks.

I take a deep breath, before sighing, and say, "This isn't the first time I've met you, but it's the first time you met me."

"Delsin what do you mean by that?!" Reggie asks me. "I am a conduit. One with the power to gain powers from other conduits, and somehow, time travelled to the moment where I vandalized your billboard. So, I'm going to do what I did last time, but better." I say.

"What did you do last time?" Reggie asks. "Basically become the symbol of conduit civil rights by forcing the DUP out of Seattle, make friends with a few conduits, and take down Augustine kicking off the second age and freeing all Conduits." I say.

"Delsin. Are you sure you're okay?" He asks. "Yes, I'm sure. I can prove it." I say. I go over to one of the TV's and drain the data to the screen.

"This power is video from Eugene. Taken to Curdun Cay 6 years ago, and Neon from Fetch, or Abigail Walker." I say. I then start leaving.

"Where are you going?!" Reggie asks me. "I can't let the people in the city suffer now that I know what Agustine is doing to them. I know what to do as well. Please, I can take care of this." I say.

"Fine, but I'm coming with you." Reggie says. I was kind of reluctant to bring him. Last time he died, but if I don't bring Hank there's a good chance he'll survive. But then again the people here also aren't exactly fans of conduits... yet.

"You can come with me, and Hank, you're staying here. Once we take down the DUP I promise I'll take you to your daughter. For now though, stay here, and no using your powers unless you have to." I say.

"Bro, I know you're from the future, but he's a convict." Reggie says. "I know that, but his crime days are over, and he doesn't really want to hurt anybody." I say.

Reggie seems to be having an internal dispute before making a decision. "Fine, he'll stay here, but the moment he causes trouble, I'm coming back here and taking him in." He says.

"That's fine by me. Hank, be on your best behavior, and if the DUP show up, call me." I say, as I get to Reggie's truck. We get in and he reluctantly starts driving us to Seattle.

"So, what caused you to paint the billboard the way you did?" He asks me. "Oh that. You helped me a lot, so I figured since I usually vandalized your stuff, I'd do you I favor." I say, lying to him. I couldn't let him know he died, and I needed to prevent his death at all cost.

We get to the road block the DUP set up on their way to Seattle. It was still destroyed, we just arrived earlier. I see the core relay and absorb the power from it. This power was a concrete super move. It would make a tornado of concrete around me and a large vicinity, and take out many enemies.

"Delsin are you okay?!" He shouts to me. "Yeah. I'm just gaining a new ability." I say. I could tell by the look on his face he was confused.

Then the girl from last time was heard, they were moving supplies on the bus. This time, I'll help them more than I did last time.
