The beach wasn't that busy. There were only a few people other than Klaus, Diego, Lark, Emily and Molly. The group was thankful that there weren't many other people. The tack had been taken off of the horses. The group stood in front of the three horses as they pet them.
"Right. You three can't go that far into the ocean and be careful of your footing," Emily smiled at the horses.
"Oh and stay where we can see you," Lark added with a huge smile. The horses responded with a whinny. But Emily and Lark understood.
"Thank you," the two girls beamed as they took a step back. The horses nodded their heads and whinnied a response before smiling, turning and galloping off across the beach, occasionally turning to make sure they hadn't gone too far.
The group of humans smiled, nodded and sat down in the sand where they were standing.
"This was a good idea," Molly said with a smile.
"It was," Klaus agreed.
"It was Patch's idea," Lark chuckled. "Still a great idea." Noises of agreement were sounded amount the group as the three girls removed their riding hats and placed them in the collection of tack nearby. Each had a distinct hat. One that gave away it was theirs. Molly's was purple with a blue lip, Lark's was pink with a red lip and Emily's was purple with green dots and green lip. The group took the opportunity to lay down in the softness of the sand. Eyes were closed as they enjoyed the sound of hoof beats on the sand and the warmth of the sun on their faces. The group slipped in and out of conversation before being interupted 20 minutes later by a group of 2 girls who came quietly through the sand to torture Lark and Emily. The two girls prodded the twins in the ribs sharply. Yelping, the twins jerked up. Startled, Molly, Klaus and Diego all jerked bolt up right, their eyes flying open.
"Emily! Lark! Are you-" Diego began before noticing the two girls who had just jabbed the twins. Diego nudged Klaus as he stood up, Klaus following pursuit as he realised the two girls. Fear took over the teeange girls faces as they clocked the two giant men making their way towards them. With that the two girls made a run for it, bolting across the beach and up to the pavement where they kept running until they could no longer be seen or see the beach.
"And stay away!" Klaus yelled as the two girls bolted away. With the two idiots dealt with, Klaus and Diego joined Molly in tending to Lark and Emily to make sure the girls were ok.
"I'm fine! Promise," Emily blurted.
"I'm completely fine! No we don't need a hospital!" Lark followed up after her sister. But that didn't seem to do it as the twins then spent a further 4 minutes trying to convinve the three people crowding arounf them they were ok and indeed were not injured. Just a little sore around the ribs. After the incident, the group decided to remain at the beach for a while longer, allowing the horses to continue galloping across the beach, kicking up sand behind them.
However, it wasn't long before the grouo begun to notice the pangs of hunger deep within their stomachs.
"Anybody fancy some food?" Lark asked the group, propping herself up onto her elbows. Nods and "yes please" floated through the four other people as they all pulled themselves up onto their feet, brushing the sand off of there clothes. Lark was the last to make it too her feet. Lark and Emily appeared to take a small breath before bellowing out for the horses. There was a thunder of hooves as three big horses galloped towards the group of five. Praises were given, tack put on and helmets buckled onto heads. And with that, the group set off.
