Sayaka stood leaning over the coffee shop's countertop, her eyes dropping slightly. Sayaka had some spare time on her hands and she thought it would be a waste if she were to stay at home doing some other activity so she had decided to cover the night shift. Not a single person had come through the shop's doors and Sayaka was beginning to feel impatient. However, she could not close down the shop early as per protocol. As her eyes drooped once more and head began to lean into the palm of her hand even further, there was ring at the door of the shop signalling the arrival of a customer. Sayaka's body shot up as she tried to give her full attention towards the body in front of her however, her mind could not process who it was due to the fatigue and the lack of sleep that she felt. A small chuckle filled the shop and Sayaka's eyes widened.
"Long time no see Sayaka." Sayaka's brain finally processed who the costumer in front of her was and she almost yelped in shock.
"M-Momobami! I-" she was abruptly interrupted by the snow-haired woman before her.
"Please, call me Kirari. I'm sure we know each other well enough, especially after our previous interaction." Sayaka's face flared up, a bright red creeping onto her face.
"R-right" She had forgotten that the last time they spoke was when they went on their date. Sayaka cleared her throat, trying to hide her flushed face but she soon stopped, realising that it was pointless. The blue-orbed woman had probably already seen her at that state multiple times.
"What would you l-like?" The barista asked for the first time since her shift had started. She had no clue why anyone would be up this late in the night, let alone her. Sayaka didn't believe in a god but if there was one up there, they were cursing her. For what reason? She'll never know.
"You." Sayaka choked on thin air as those words left Kirari's mouth. She hadn't thought that her face could get any redder and yet here she was.
"P-pardon?" Sayaka managed to stutter out. Kirari smirker, knowing fully well what she had done to the dark-haired barista.
"I was wondering if you could choose for me." Kirari smiled as innocently as she could at Sayaka.
"O-oh! Right! Um, does a a red eye sound good to you?" Kirari simply nodded and Sayaka got to working. She had tried to avoid looking at the ash blond as much as she could in fear of her messing up the order. As Sayaka finished up the order, Kirari closed her eyes and took in the aroma of coffee within the shop. It had been awhile since she had smelt the coffee that Sayaka made, let alone tasted. There was something different about the way Sayaka made things. It felt more special to Kirari. Sayaka handed the coffee over to the cerulean eyed woman and held her breath, waiting for the reaction of the woman before her. Kirari took a small sip and hummed in delight. The violet-orbed woman shakily sighed out in relief.
"Say, when does your shift end?" Sayaka turned towards Kirari and raised a brow in confusion.
"Why do want to know?"
"Well I'm taking you home of course."
