Victor cursed when the rain began to fall.
"Just my luck..."
He stopped when he heard a blood curdling scream from where he had been standing with Elena only moments ago. He quickly started to walk back but was stopped by Katie.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." she said softly. Her red eyes glowing in the dark.
"Why? It sounds like Elena is in trouble! I need to help her!"
Victor shoved Katie out of the way and began jogging towards Elena.

"I'll let you go if you agree to accompany me back to the castle." she said cheerfully as if it were a perfectly sunny day and not a dark wet one.
Victor glared at Katie, "I don't seem to have much choice do I?" he asked softly.
"So you'll come?"
Victor nodded.
"Good!"
Victor moved his legs and breathed a sigh of relief when they were no longer stuck to the ground.
Katie smiled and began the walk towards the castle slowly despite the heavy rain.
"Are you coming or not?" she yelled over the thunder and the rain.
Victor wiped his forehead, his mouth breaking into a smile. He caught up with Katie and made his way back to his home.
But he still had Elena on his mind....
