when i first met you,
i never knew
you would become so important to me.
i thought,
you would just be another good friend.
looking back at the first time we talked,
i wish i had just treated you like one.
because now,
seeing you the way you are,
the way you behave,
it feels like it would have been better
for both of us
if we had just stayed friends -
or even better,
strangers.
