Tommy scoffed as the 'Hermits' or whatever they called themselves flew off. "They're just so fucking full of themselves, aren't they?" He turned to Tubbo, rolling his eyes when he saw the other watching the one in the red shirt showing off.
"Look, Tommy! They can fly so well!" The shorter teenager said, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he watched the aerial show in glee.
"I'm sure they know we can't fly, they're just rubbing it in," Tommy ranted, not listening to Tubbo.
"Wow!" Tubbo exclaimed, almost like a fanboy. "He's better than Philza!"
From off to the side, Technoblade grunted. Forever defensive of Philza, he muttered "He's not that good."
"Phil!" Tommy shouted. "Can you catch up to them and remind them we still exist!"
Tubbo gasped as the one called- what was it? Grain? Tommy couldn't remember -dove down and weaved expertly through a few branches, coming up and twisting around in a loop in the air. Tommy groaned at the other's obliviousness.
"Tubbo, I think we have more important matters than how fancy they can fly- PHIL!!" He interrupted himself to get Mr. Minecraft's attention.
Dream heaved a massive sigh, breaking his own silence and looking up from his gauntlet. "You guys are giving me a headache," he said, speaking to Tommy, Tubbo, and Technoblade.
Philza, rubbing his temples, sighed. "I'm going to fly after them. I'll be back soon." He flapped his wings, leaves fluttering up from the ground at the sudden gust of wind.
"I wish I could fly," Tubbo mused.
Tommy scrunched up his nose, rolling his eyes once more at his friend. Technoblade grumbled, drawing a dagger from his belt and scraping the dirt from his nails.
Tommy watched Philza for a second, noticing how he had to fly extra hard to catch up to the Hermits. Tubbo was right, these strangers were definitely sleeker and faster fliers than Philza, but Tommy wasn't going to say that.
"Why are we here?" Tommy groaned, dragging out the e sound.
Dream glanced over. "We glitched, Tommy. What about that isn't clear?"
Tommy glared at him. "Why are me and Tubbo here, then? It was you glitching and Techno and Philza who you were glitching to!"Dream glared right back. "You were stuck in between, alright? Can you shut up and stop complaining for two minutes so I can see if I can get my gauntlet to work?"
"You've been trying, give up!" Tommy said, exasperated.
Dream shot him a death look. Tommy rolled his eyes, but shut up. He watched the small form of Philza fly after the Hermits, seeing as two of the three Hermits slowed down to talk to Philza. After a few minutes of impatient foot tapping, all four fliers flew back, Philza landing roughly and the Hermits gliding to a graceful landing.
"Sorry about that," the one called Iskall said, his cyborg eye glinting. "Forgot not all of you can fly."
Tommy raised an eyebrow. "Sure, you fuckin pricks," he muttered. Tubbo elbowed him and he shrugged as if to say what? It's the truth.
Dream pinched the bridge of his nose. "While that was quite an impressive performance, Grian, we'd quite like to get home as soon as possible."
Grian laughed. Techno looked at him, a stormy expression in his gaze. "Is this a joke to you?" he asked, voice deadly. Tommy shuddered, expecting the little Hermit to back down.
But instead, Grian looked back at Technoblade, right in the eyes and said "A little bit."
This seemed to slightly shock the pig hybrid, who fell into silence. Tommy chuckled, knowing The Blade was probably used to people wilting under his glare. Grian just continued to happily bounce on his feet, sharing a look with the mustached Hermit called Mumbo.
