"i've been told i would never make it where i want in life. i've been shamed for posting about my body. i've been told my foul language is "not lady-like." i've been told that i need to start "being a better role model” because i post in my underwear and have my nipples pierced. i've been questioned when making large purchases because they don't believe i can have so much success to sustain and treat myself as a young woman. i've been told my expectations are unrealistic. i've been told to cover up my acne because that's "not the kind of image you want to portray." i've been told to marry rich so i never have to worry about making money, yet at the same time, i've been told i need to "make more money and do more" despite making six figures and pushing my own mental health to the edge for the sake of "doing more."
this all sounds shitty, right? because it was. it sucked. I went through the biggest life transformation this past year. I sat to myself most days, wondering if i was doing enough. asking myself, am i enough? i had the answer all along: you are enough. you are doing enough. you are the embodiment of a powerful woman. your body is beautiful; share it all you want. you shouldn't give a fuck that people don't like your language, because you like it and that's who you are. you can post in your underwear and show that ass off and those nips all you want because you are young and you look DAMN good. you buy whatever you want with your earnings, because you worked for it. your expectations are NOT unrealistic, because would you look at that- you've accomplished every single thing you spoke about since you were a child, and you're only 21. your acne is natural, and everyone struggles with it, so show it and remind everyone that social media is only a facade. you make more than enough. you do more than enough.
do NOT let other people tell you that you can't do something or that you shouldn't do/post something.
YOU ARE A WOMAN. YOU ARE POWERFUL. YOU ARE STRONG. YOU CAN ACHIEVE EVERY LITTLE THING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO.
