After their encounter with the Kampa, an amanto who controls metal, Kondo's chosen group will be assigned on a mission by Matsudaira, where they will need to tail someone and guard them with their life.
"Where's the location, Matsudaira-san?" Kondo asked the veteran in front of him
"At the amusement park located south of Kyoto. Be there at 1 p.m. sharp. And don't wear anything flashy."
"Yes sir! I will send you a letter after I have chosen my group." Kondo said, Matsudaira finally leaving the headquarters just as quickly.
'Okay... Let's see who's available:
Hijikata just finished their rounds this morning, okay.
Sougo's group already fixed the problem on the large fish that blocked the east river, okay.
Toushira, is in full recovery and will be returning from her duty after while, okay.
Yamazaki will also be back after his 2 day spying, okay.
Shimaru? He isn't getting much work lately after defeating the mafia on the east, okay.
Okay... We got Toshi, Sougo, Shira-chan, Shimaru, Yamazaki, and... Me. Man, this group seems promising.
The letter:

The group that I have chosen for the tail and guard mission will include; Hijikata Toushiro, Hijikata Toushira, Okita Sougo, Sagaru Yamazaki, Saitou Shimaru, and Isao Kondo. This is a 6 man squad that will tend to the mission and execute it greatly.

Kondo san spread the word among his shinsengumi colleagues to tell their Vice-Commander,First Division Captain, Third Division Captain, Hijikata Toushira, and Sagaru Yamazaki to gather in the Commander's quarters.
Shinsengumi Commander's Quarters:
" Let's see... Hijikata 1, Hijikata 2, Okita, Yamazaki, Saitou. All complete!--"
Toushira interrupted Kondo, " WHY HIJIKATA 1 AND HIJIKATA 2? DON'T YOU KNOW OUR NAMES? KONDO-SAN?" Hijikata nodded in agreement.
"W-well, I watched bananas pajamas the other day and I wanna try calling you that because you also look alike..." Kondo-san said, pouting and bringing his index fingers together trying to look cute
Kondo-san just received dead-pan faces and murmurs like:
' is this really our commander nii-san? he's watching kid shows and thinks he can apply it to us what an idiot right?'
'I know right?, good thing he's good with swords and umm, good with swords.'
The siblings started whispering aiming a dead-panned face to their commander.
