My first AO3 book review. I am going to write more AO3 books reviews soon.
But starting with this one which I read 2 days back.
Contains Lot of MAJOR Spoilers:
I usually don't prefer one shots but have started reading a lot of them. This is one shot and how I wish there was more and it was more than just a oneshot!
Slow development of character and relationship. I loved the flirting between Tae and Kook. It was elegant and some even though not cheesy, very intellectual flirting! It was soooooo good (I really hope I can have this type of flirting with my partner). Fear of abandonment is so real and self sabotage that goes with it most times and lot of therapy will definitely help but healing in a relationship is always comforting. The assurance Tae gives that he will stick to him, will go long way! Sometimes that's enough but sometimes that won't be and need therapy but most important is communication and Kook does that here. Opens up to hyungs who makes him realize the issue and rather than judging him, understand his issue but don't minimize it. They help realize about communication and Tae of course needs time and he takes time but he does the grown up thing, of composing himself and his emotions in a healthy way before talking.
Thank god this did not turn out to be one of those toxic ways of things like Tae ends of fcking someone out of anger and then that causes kook into fear more and then the cycle repeats over and over and then suddenly magically everything is forgotten and forgiven (1. It doesn't happen like that in rl and 2. If it happens that is super unhealthy).
The way conflicts should be handled maturely is written so well. It's very rare to have any relationship whether friendship or romantic or even sibling or any, where both people are emotionally fully balanced, at all times in life. When one isn't in such space of balanced state of mind, it's important others gives time for each other to compose themselves and then communicate and handle it in mature healthy way rather than ending up in cycle of hurting each other.
So happy to see here was an example of how conflict and emotions and feelings and fears of one should be handled in a professional setting like manager being understanding, at friendship level where hyungs being there for kook and at romantic relationship level where Tae being there for him. I really like FF where things can be applied to real life and we can become better reading them!

TaeKook/KookV recommendations (my fav)
FanficAs a ARMY and Taekook AU reader, when I started reading the FF, I couldn't find book reviews like we see for movie or drama or other books. So I decided to write short reviews and publish it here. I am going to add link for the books as well so that...
