" I wanna know what the hell you were thinking smoking weed on the side of the road in clear view of everyone.Neighbors,the cops... Seriously,I want to know what was going for your brain!"Ellen yells at Marcus and I hide my laugh.
"Well,it's legal now."Marcus says bluntly.
"Not for you,it isn't.You get inside that house.You are grounded."Ellen continues.
"Acknowledge me!Damn it!"She snaps.
"All right,I'm grounded."Marcus smiles and starts walking away.
"When's dinner though?'Cause I'm really hungry."Marcus says and I burst in laughter as Ellen screams.
"Where does he hide his stash?"Ellen sighs as Marcus walks away.
"I'm a saint,mrs. Baker."I tell her and leave,still laughing.
We go upstairs to Marcus' room and both start laughing harder.
"Hey,stop!"I tell him.
"What?"He asks me.
"Someone moved in across the street."I say and lay on his bed.
"We'll see them later,probably another perfect Wellsbury family."He says and I nod in agreement.Wellsbury was the perfect little town,but everyone here has some shit ore some deep secrets.
~~~ The two of us were trying to sneak out quietely to go skateboarding,but Ellen was still awake so there was a possibility of us getting caught.
Marcus was already down,waiting for me to get down,when I heard someone walk upstairs.
"Jump!"He wishper shouts,but I hesitate at first.The steps got louder and I jumped,surprisingly he caught me and we both started laughing.
"For a moment I though about letting you fall."He says and I punch him playfully.Our eyes snap at a girl watching us from the window and both Marcus and I do the salute and she quickly hides.
"So,we met our neighbor."I tell him and he looks confused at me.
~~~ We were done skating so we came back home,but before we could sneak back in a blonde woman started running towards us.
"Hey,kids."She wishpers.
"Who are you?"Marcus asks.
"My kids and I moved across the street.I hear you have bud.I can't sleep.That would really help me out right now.You got bud or not?"She says and we both smile.
"How are you paying?Venmo or cash?"I ask and she looks at me confused. "Joking.Here you go."I say and hand her a clear bag with weed.
"Thanks,kids.Don't do drugs!"She says as she leaves and we both laugh.
"These neighbors are crazy."He says.
"It'll be a hell of a journey."I tell him.
"I have to get home."I tell him and hug him.
"See you at school."He says and I skate away.
