Fourth update today (barely)! That is what you guys get for me not updating in forever!

Jackson Merlin:

My name is Jackson Merlin, but I go by Jax. I have light green eyes with hints of blue and dark brown hair. I think that I am in love with my best friend, Annabeth Chase. She has golden blonde princess locks that cascade down her back and highlight her stormy gray eyes that can look right through you.

Annabeth claims to have a boyfriend, but none of us believe her. Even if she did, she would definitely leave him for me! I am captain of the football team and super strong, plus I always have girls begging to be with me. I am not a stereotypical jock though, I am nice to everybody and it gains me so much more popularity than being a bully would.

"Annabeth! Catch!" I shouted as I saw her walking up the Golden Gate High's front steps. She caught the football I threw with amazing speed. She really was amazing in every way. She smiled and ran over to our little friend group.

"Nice throw, Jax!" She said and high fived me. She was smiling bigger than usual and Madi, Zach, Ava, and I were all staring at her suspiciously. As beautiful as her smile was and as much as I loved to see it, I wondered why it was so vibrant today.

"What's up with the peppiness?" Ava asked. I used to have a crush on her, but it turns out she likes girls. As much as I found that disgusting and wanted to bully her about it, I couldn't let Annabeth see me do that.

"My friend is transfe-'' Annabeth started to say excitedly.

"Hey, Jaxy!" Lillian, the most popular girl marched up to me. If I hadn't changed since Annabeth got here, I would totally be using her! But... I've got to be a more mature version of myself if I want Annie.

"Go away!" I said and she marched off angrily.

The bell rang before we could hear what Annabeth had been planning on saying. I could have sworn I heard Annabeth mutter, "Dam! I won't get to see them 'till lunch!" under her breath. Did she really miss me that much?

I walked to my first class, Greek Mythology. I didn't care about the subject, but Annabeth is always renting about it, and I figured a couple should share the same interests. I pulled open the door and had a seat in the back row where I always sit.

"We have a new student today, so please welcome Piper McLean!" Mrs.Orenstein said.

"Hey, I'm Piper! Um... I moved here from over in LA to come here with my friend. I am fluent in Greek, Latin, and French. And yes, my dad is Tristan McLean, but please treat me like a NORMAL person. Thank you very much!" She smiled at the class before walking to the back of the room.

"Hi." I said as she plopped down in the seat next to me.

"Hey." She responded. I analyzed her, wondering if she would be a good fit if Annabeth and I didn't work out. "Please stop looking at me like that, I have a boyfriend." How did she notice me when I was sure that she was listening to the lesson now going on.

"No! I wasn't checking you out! I... was wondering who your friend who goes here is!" I found a quick excuse.

"Oh..." She said as though she didn't believe me. "Her name is Annabeth Chase, do you happen to know her?" She must have known when my eyes widened at the name. Her BEST friend? Ha! Annie TOTALLY liked me more!

"Are there two Annabeth Chase's at this school? Because she just happens to be MY best friend and my soon to be girlfriend! Hate to say it, Ms.McLean, but you switched schools to be with a best friend that doesn't feel the same way!" I teased, my voice dripping with mock sympathy.

"Why don't you shut up?" Piper suggested, and for some reason, I did. "Also, I don't think Annabeth will be dating you any time soon!" I wanted to respond, but I couldn't seem to make any noise directed towards the famous actor's daughter.

I was still upset from the encounter with Annabeth's fake best friend when I marched to lunch. She must have just heard of Annabeth's reputation and wanted to use her for popularity! I would have to tell Annie all about this!

I still had a few more periods before I got to see Annabeth again at lunch. When I arrived at my next class, once again, there was a new girl in. And it was a different new girl this time. "Everybody, this is Thalia. She doesn't like her last name so I won't say it, but... why don't I just let her introduce herself?" Coach Johnson said almost nervously, as if he were intimidated by her.

A scary, yet beautiful girl with spiky black hair and electric blue eyes stepped forward, "Sup, punks. My name is Thalia and I do NOT date! If you even ask me out, I will not hesitate to beat you to a pulp." She stepped back and glared at anybody who looked at her.

The fact that she didn't want to date made her even more attractive. If somehow, Annabeth and Piper both turned me down, she would be the perfect third pick. She is definitely not as strong as she pretends to be. No girl is.

I decided that I would ask Annabeth to be my girlfriend first and then tell her about the Piper McLean girl. That way, if she said no, I would still have Piper to go to. When I walked into the cafeteria, a surprise was waiting for me. With my friends, sat Thalia and Piper on either side of Annabeth, all talking and laughing like old friends.

I knew that this was my shot. I rushed over and tapped Annabeth's shoulder. When she turned around in her seat, I got down on one knee with a giant smile on my face, "Annabeth Chase, you are the most beautiful, funny, kind, compassionate, wonderful girl I know. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Annabeth almost looked sorry, "Jax, I already told you that I have a boyfriend. That was really sweet and all, but sorry, I'm just not interested."

"But Annie-"

"Sorry, Jax."

I was upset, but I knew Piper wouldn't say no. I turned to her with a smirk, "Piper McLean, even though we just met, I feel closer to you than I have anybody before. Will you give me the pleasure of being your boyfriend?"

I expected to see a smile, but was met with a death glare instead, "DID YOU JUST ASK MY BEST FRIEND OUT AND AS SOON AS SHE TURNED YOU DOWN, TURN TO ME? DO YOU KNOW HOW INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL THAT IS? NO GIRL IN HER RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER DATE YOU!"

I turned desperately to Thalia but she cut me off before I could say anything, "DON'T SAY A DAM WORD TO ME!" She punched me in the jaw and I reeled back in pain.

"What the heck is wrong with you guys?" I screamed at them before marching away from that group of totally crazy girls.
