Amelia Mason:

My name is Amelia Mason and I have dark blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and a lot of freckles. I am not particularly popular, but I am really close with my friends. The small friend group consists of me, Hannah, Andy, and Magnus. Hannah and Andy are a couple and they are so cute together!

I have a huge crush on Magnus and I think he likes me back. Andy and Hannah know about it and keep telling me to confess my feelings. I think that today is the day I am going to ask him out! I can't wait!

Right now, we were sitting in science class and listening to Mrs. Boring talk about a project that would be due next week. We got to choose our partners and I immediately asked Magnus.

"Magnus, do you want to work together on the project?" I asked sweetly.

"Sure, Amelia!" He agreed.

"Your house or mine?" I asked.

"Um... My house is chaotic and filled with a lot of people. Quite frankly, it is pretty dangerous to anybody who doesn't... urm... live there(translation: die there)." He answered (If I show you, I'd have to kill you, literally! Cuz, ya know, it's Valhalla!) . I guess we would be doing it at my house then! "Actually, do you want to meet at the park first? So we can decide the topic?" He asked.

OMG!!! He was totally asking me out!  "Of course, Magnus!" I responded excitedly. "I'll see you at four!" I wanted to make sure that I had time to look my best before meeting him. I didn't even have to ask him because he asked me first!

After school, I rushed home, bubbling with excitement. I raced up to my room to get changed and apply make up. I put on a short yellow dress covered in pink flowers and applied light blush and pale purple eyeshadow. Wow, I looked stunning!

I looked at the clock and realized I only had fifteen minutes and the park was twelve minutes away. "Bye, mom! I've got a date with Magnus!" I screamed to my mom, I was just so happy to be saying it, even if she didn't ask.

I was practically limping by the time that I reached the park. Who knew that walking a mile in heels hurt so much? But, it was worth it since I finally have a date with the boy I've liked since we first met! Eeee! This was so exciting!

I looked over to see Alex fighting with some green haired person. "YOU TRIED TO KILL HIM, FIERRO?" Magnus shouted. What?!? Magnus was talking to a murderer?!?

"HE WAS BEING ANNOYING, OKAY?" The person screamed back.

"THAT IS NO EXCUSE! HE COULD HAVE DIED!" Magnus argued.

"That's kind of the point, stupid!" 'Fierro' shouted.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" Magnus sighed.

"Not as big of an idiot as you, Maggie!" The person responded and smacked Magnus's arm before plopping down onto the bench and taking out a sketchbook.

I decided that now was my chance to come over. "Hey, Magnus! Sorry I'm late!" I called as I ran over on my sore feet, pretending I just got there.

"No biggie, Amelia! I'm glad you could make it!" He replied.

"Me too, Maggie!" I responded flirtatiously, and for some reason, Magnus cringed. "And why exactly are you so happy to see me?" I inched closer and put a hand on his strong chest so that I was right in his face.

He pulled away quickly. "Because we have to come up with our topic and there is somebody I want you to meet!" He seemed a little less enthusiastic now, but still plenty excited. I wonder why that was, maybe he was nervous about our date that would apparently be happening after our study sesh.

"Okay! Who do you want me to meet!" I responded cheerfully. Please don't be the murderer! Please don't be the murderer! Please don't be the murderer! I chanted in my head. Apparently, my begging didn't change anything.

"Amelia, this is Alex!" He pointed at the green haired person. The person looked up and glared at me. Wow, that is a SCARY glare! "Alex is my girlfriend!" He said and pulled her up onto her feet. WHAT!?!?!? He chose that green-haired freakish weirdo over me?

"Boyfriend, actually!" He told me and shot a glare at Magnus as if he was supposed to know that she had suddenly become a boy. Huh? How can he be a girl and then a boy? That isn't even possible!

"YOU ARE LYING! MAGNUS IS MINE! HE INVITED ME HERE ON A DATE!" I screamed at this weird impostor who was trying to steal MY Magnus!

"What are you talking about? I told you to come so we could work on our project!" Magnus defended her/him, I don't even know anymore.

"But you love me, Maggie!" I protested.

"NOBODY EXCEPT ME CALLS HIM MAGGIE, GOT IT?" Alex shouted and I shivered.

I couldn't let myself be scared by this jerk, though. "Oh really? I called him Maggie this morning at school right before our make-out session! You aren't the only one who Magnus 'loves'!" I put 'loves' in air quotes as I teased Alex.

"YOU LITTLE-" Alex shouted before he started to charge at me. I screamed and ran for my life. Magnus would come to my rescue! He would save me from this monster and we would ride happily ever after into the sunset!

He never came. Alex hit me in the head, and the last thing I remember hearing was Magnus's calm voice, "Did you kill her or just knock her out?" Then the world went black and I was unconscious.

When I woke up, the world was spinning and my head was throbbing. I looked around to see that I was tied up in a closet in who knows where. That wasn't the worst part, though. What broke my heart was that Magnus never came to save me. I had lost my friend and first love...
