Chapter 4

Harry's P.O.V.

After the announcements, I felt eager. This gave me a reason to go find my mate. I had no idea who my mate was but I still wanted  to meet them. I made my way back to my room as today had been a long day. I laid in bed and slowly drifted of to sleep.

Suddenly, I could smell the sweet aroma of something... or was it someone. It seemed a little familiar and quite soothing. I saw a figure that I couldn't make out. I knew it was my mate. I reached out to them but to no avail. They seemed to have been... avoiding me. I tried as best as possible to figure out who my mate was. finally I noticed something. Aside from their breath taking scent of Vanilla and cake, I came to realize my mate was a male.

The next morning, I awoke, looking for Hermione. It didn't take  much long for me to find her with her nose once again down in a book during breakfast.

"Mione, I need your help with something and to speak with you"

"sure but what about?"

" I  got my inheritance and I had a... mate dream..."

"Harry, That's great! Do you know who it is?"

"No, all know is how they smell and that their a guy..."

"I expected as much. but what about your inheritance?"

"Wait a sec., you're ok with me liking guys?"

"Well it was obvious but that aside. Your inheritance"

I was shocked. I gave her the paper with all my inheritance information. When she saw it she looked shocked. Soon enough I could see her face go grim.  I wasn't sure what was wrong. Suddenly she looked up at me. "Harry, you need to find your mate soon." I was puzzled, why did I need to hurry? "Harry, vampires fed off of their mate, so if your going to eat you need your mates blood, and soon." I was shocked, but I understood what she was telling me. We continued our discussion and I told her as much as I could about my mate. 

Breakfast was over and it was time for us to go to class. When I got up, I could smell the sent of cake and vanilla as I did yesterday. I looked around as I could smell the scent get close. Hermione noticed and began looking around as well. Suddenly, I noticed familiar blonde hair pass me. When the person passed, I could smell the scent of my mate. I turned around quickly to see who it  was but they were already out of sight.

I told Hermione everything and asked her to help me find him.
