"So are we going to talk about the other night?" Riven asked Adelina as he sat down next to her. Adelina glanced over at him before she continued to read her book. "Are you seriously studying during training?" Riven asked her in disbelief as he snatched the book out of her hand. He examined the book as he skimmed through the pages. "We had too many drinks the other night." Adelina huffs as she reaches for her book. Riven raises his eyes brows at her as he reads the cover of the book. "How to control your magic!" Riven yells as he laughs. Adelina snatches it out of his hands as she scoots away from him. "Adelina... you had like one drink.... you weren't too drunk the other night and we kissed." Riven whispers as he scoots closer to her. His leg was now pressed against her leg. Adelina took a deep breath as she glanced down at his body touching hers. "What do you want me to say?" Adelina asked him sharply as she turned to look at him.
Riven was already staring at her causing their eyes to meet. "I just wanted to make sure we are cool.... it was just a kiss.... it didn't mean anything." Riven tells her in a carefree tone. Adelina feels a tug in her heart as she nods her head. Adelina replayed the kiss in her head sending butterflies to her stomach. She didn't think it meant nothing but she knew Riven kissed a ton of girls. She quickly pushed her body up and grabbed her training stick. "Come on Riv!" Adelina yells as she hands him his stick. Riven smiled as he pushed his body up onto the matt. Adelina quickly tried to hit him with her stick but he immediately deflected it. "You are sloppy today." Riven teases her. "We haven't even started!" Adelina replies sharply. "And yet....... your form gives me easy access to take your down." Riven tells her as he laughs. Adelina gives him a confused look but soon feels Riven take out both of her feet causing her to fall down onto the matt.
"Your form also sucks!" Adelina yells as she looks up at the gloating boy. Rivens smile fell as Adelina kicked his legs from underneath him causing him to fall down on top of her. Adelina groaned as Rivens body crushed hers. "This is an interesting position we have found ourselves in." Riven whispers seductively as he takes some of his pressure off of her. "Yeah you're never on top." Adelina replies sharply. She tries to push him off of her causing him to laugh. Her eyes locked with his causing her heart to flutter. Riven had forgotten how beautiful her eyes were. He wanted to kiss her again but he knew that he couldn't. He had told her that their kiss had meant nothing to him but it had changed him. He had never wanted someone like he wanted Adelina. "Riven." Adelina whispered weakly. "What?" Riven asked her softly. "I can't breathe." Adelina whispered out of breath. "Sorry." Riven mutters as he quickly gets off of her. Riven helps Adelina stand up as she takes deep breaths.
"I kinda wanna push you into the pond." Riven tells her in carefree tone. "Do not push me into the pond." Adelina tells him. Riven laughs as he lunges forward to grab her. Adelina sprints away from his as she jumps down from the matt. Riven immediately chased her past all of the people training. Adelina couldn't contain her laughter as she turned around and realized Riven was so close to catching her. Adelina wasn't watching where she was going causing her to collide with another body. Riven put a hand over his mouth as Adelina could tell he was laughing. "What the hell are you two doing?" Silva yelled at them angrily. Adelina realized she had run into him and was very embarrassed. "We were just practicing." Riven tells him as he holds back laughter.
"Practicing what?" Silva asked him angrily. "How to run when a burned one is chasing you." Riven tells him as he grabs Adelinas waist and pulls her closer to him. Adelina flinches as she nods her head like an idiot. Silva sighs as he shakes his head at them. "You two make me never want to have children." Silva mumbles in a tired voice. Riven and Adelina smile awkwardly as Riven wraps his arms around Adelina and pulls her closer to him. "Just get back to training." Silva orders them. They both nod as they quickly run back to the pond. "Glad we are saving the world by prohibiting Silva from procreating." Riven tells Adelina sarcastically as he laughs. Adelina rolls her eyes as she shoves Rivens arm. Riven noticed something on Adelinas shoulder. "What's that?" Riven asked her curiously as he pointed to her shoulder. "It's nothing." Adelina reassures him. Riven ignores her as he walks closer to her and pushes her sleeve off of her shoulder. Rivens eyes landed on a very evident burn mark. "Shit Adi..... what happened?" Riven asked her softly. "It's fine.... I heal fast anyways." Adelina replies sharply as she pulls her sleeve back up.
"This is the second time this has happened Adi!" Riven tells her in a harsh tone. "I'm fine Riven... I just lose control sometimes but the headmistress is helping me." Adelina tries to reassure him. "Why won't you tell me exactly what happens when you lose control? Like why do you lose control? What goes on in that head of yours that would make you accidentally burn yourself?" Riven asks her loudly. "Can we talk about something else?" Adelina asks him softly as she refuses to meet his eyes. "I'm sorry I care about you Adi... I would worry less about you if you actually told me what's wrong with you." Riven says angrily as he stares at her. "I think you answered your own question." Adelina huffs as she pushes past him. "What the hell does that mean?" Riven yells at her. "There's something wrong with me! That's my answer and I'm glad you see it now too!" Adelina yells loudly as she walks further away from him. "Well there's something wrong with me too! There's nothing wrong with that Adi!" Riven yells but she doesn't look back at him. Riven sighs as he runs a hand through his hair. He hated how closed off Adelina was. Why wouldn't she just tell him why she was losing control? Was she scared to be vulnerable around him?
