Soundwave landed on the mountain top, the crew of five Vehicon Miners coming through a groundbridge

Soundwave landed on the mountain top, the crew of five Vehicon Miners coming through a groundbridge. They looked around warily, noticing it was painfully dark. Sure, they worked in the dark often but starting in the dark? One dared to start looking for a sign of the energon, but the creaking of hinges stopped the Decepticon. All five watched the avalanched area, nearly waiting for an enemy as they usually followed if Soundwave was there with them.

"You did not bring the supplies?" (Y/N) questioned, making the Miners quirk their helms to the side, confused at the appearance of this human. She seemed very familiar with the presence of these titans.

-/We will mine from within/- Soundwave answered with Megatron's deduction from a small meeting with the war lord.

"Opening and closing my entrance will still leave the signal open for anyone with a strong enough searching apparatus." The human answered, worrying the Vehicons as they looked to Soundwave, wondering what he might do as this puny being argued with the infamously silent mech. "I had believed you would have deducted an easier and faster way to deliver your energon. Obviously, that is not the case."

For once she was getting on Soundwave's circuits. He believed it had been obvious they were going to mine from within her dwelling and was unknowing of any other way he had observed so far. She had not voiced her own way to transfer this energon. His digits twitched as she sighed, reflective lenses flickering as if to blink, though it was only a trick of the moonlight.

"Come." The woman waved and trudged toward the hidden panel in the rocks. She opened it, showing that the tubes, usually glowing blue, were empty and dark. "As I am already liquifying it, I suspected you would use this to your advantage. It will have to be syphoned a few more times to be consumable by you without overloading, I'm sure, but you're more than likely capable aboard the Nemesis."

It was a good plan. Quicker than the original and should have been brought up by the human beforehand. Soundwave now had to go back, find the proper supplies and delay the energon extraction. Though the mech was mildly peeved, his silence and lack of movement did not show it. Instead, he nodded, turning as a groundbridge appeared. The Miners were glad to leave as they entered the Nemesis first, starting for Knockout's medical bay to have the human forms removed. Soundwave, however, lingered a moment when he noticed (Y/N) following at the corner of his visor.

"I have enough lines to extend the length. They are small but the stream isn't enough to cause a signal."

Soundwave nodded, his earlier frustration numbing.

"Forgive my assuming that you, yourself, had assumed my energon lines could be redirected. I'm glad the dilemma has been resolved."

Her usual blank features seemed to struggle to move with little twitches at the edges of her lips, but Soundwave guessed that was Laserbeak flying across the moonlight as he returned to his master. Soundwave disappeared through the bridge without the human.

The crew did not return, but Soundwave did, appearing from a groundbridge with flexible tubing small enough to fit (Y/N)'s configuration of clear hose. The mech dropped it near the rock, tapping the panel with a digit to open it again (the human female had closed it after he left). (Y/N) came out from hiding once more, clad in her hooded parka, about to attach the hose she herself had brought up from her dwelling, but Soundwave halted her advancements with a servo. She seemed confused, though her expression was blank.

Taking measurements of the area, Soundwave transformed once he deemed the angle wide enough to fit his wingspan and horizontal length. Amusingly, the human sat on a rock, wondering how on Earth transforming was going to help them. Her silent question was answered with soft, small footsteps appearing at the rock panel. Soundwave started attaching the tubes himself in the small, rather cramped form of a human.

The appearance of his human form Soundwave did not choose. Knockout had decided to take that liberty, and frankly, it was a bit showy for the Decepticon TIC, albeit showy was not how a human would describe it.

His black trench coat whipped in the wind created by the mountain peaks, though the matching fedora miraculously held. Long black hair was tucked under the upturned collar that shadowed most of his face, covered by a black bandana with a deep purple Decepticon logo on the front. His eyes were shaded by the fedora as well, though dark sunglasses wouldn't allow for them to be seen anyway. The last possible show of skin was covered by tight leather gloves that moved swiftly. He appeared as a shadow, it seemed, aside from the purple label on his bandana. To most humans, this was terrifying.

(Y/N) tried to focus her lenses to get any glimpse of his face, but there was clearly some sort of protocol within the coding of this human form to prevent any show of it, so there always seemed to be some shadow darkening his features. She wondered how long his hair was. If he wore a suit beneath the trench coat or if there was simply empty air. Deciding to step closer, (Y/N) started to attach other hoses, slowly becoming farther from the false human.

"A new trick?" She finally asked, earning a nod as Soundwave stood. His height was still not quite human, being at least 8 feet, but she supposed some feeling of superiority was kept with this odd height difference. He picked up the second line, having decided to use both for quicker extraction, and connected the next piece. "It was rather unnecessary."

Soundwave nodded again. He realizes that now, but he wouldn't have gone through with it if she had simply told him of her plans. He thought it a waste of resources if he didn't use it at least once, and for its intended purpose.

"Once the energon extraction has begun, I will go with you to your vessel."

The now human mech paused his work to stare at her for a moment, apparently the only one phased by this announcement as she continued with the last piece of hose.

"This is all yours now so for me to use it is unfair. I have no place to go here after and I'm sure you have deducted I know more than I let on." (Y/N) let the wind cool her head down as she took the hood off of her parka. "Some things are easier than they seem, Soundwave."
