___________

Wanda felt like death, it was her and Pietro's birthday today, she sat on the side of her bed as she felt tears coming down from her eyes.

"Knock knock" Nat stood against the door, giving a small smile to the younger girl who quickly wiped her fresh tears that she had shed earlier.

"Hey..." Nat softly said.

"You shouldn't see me like this"

"Like what, feeling like shit?" Wanda just nodded.

"You know, it's okay to feel like shit sometimes, doesn't make you less stronger than you already are. And you can talk to me if you want, I'm a good listener" Nat offered.

"I-I'm fine, you can leave..." Wanda mumbled as she looked down.

"Okay... But if you wanted to talk, you know where to find me" Nat gave her a sympathetic smile, as she left Wanda's room leaving the younger girl alone and wondering.

-

Wanda ran into Nat later that day, she made eye contact with the older girl who gave her an understanding smile.

"I-I am so sorry"

"Hey, it's okay. Not that bad" Nat softly said to the younger girl.

"O-okay" the younger girl stuttered as she hurriedly got away from the green-eyed girl who stood there, fazed.

"You totally like her," Steve said, crossing his arms as Clint nodded, smugly to Nat.

"W-What?! How can you say that?!" Nat scoffed as she rolled her eyes at the boys.

"Well, you're good to her?"

"And?"

"Well, you're never this good to anyone" as those words leave Clint's mouth, Nat quickly slapped his arm, glaring at him.

"See my point?"

"Whatever, it's not like I lay down in bed at 3 AM thinking about her..." Nat shooked her head, forgetting the fact that she actually did that literally last night.

-

Nat lied on her bed, staring at the ceiling as she let out a heavy sigh, thinking about a certain blue-eyed girl but then rolled over the bed to grab her phone on the nightstand to check the time.

11:36 P.M.

'Damn, still early...' she thought.

As she continued lying on the bed, she heard a soft knock on her door.

She stood up, hurriedly open her door to see the younger girl standing there, crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Nat asked, but she got an unexpected embrace instead.

The younger girl cried on her chest, as she hugged her back, soothing her to calm down.

After a few moments, the younger girl seemed to calm down, as she let go of Nat and mumbled,

"U-Um, sorry..."

"Hey, it's okay" Nat reassured her, sending off a small sympathetic smile.

"So, what makes you come here?"

"Um... Sorry for being rude earlier..."

"Hey, that's no problem"

"No, I-" Wanda went silent for a while then she sighed.

A few seconds later, she whispered "It's Pietro and I's birthday..."

Nat understood why, it's hard losing someone you've been with your whole life, and it even hit different that it's your sibling...

Nat didn't say anything, she knew that a sorry isn't what Wanda wants to hear right now, so she hugged Wanda instead, letting the younger girl cry over her shoulder.

"Happy birthday, Wanda. Thanks for telling me" Nat mumbled at the sulking girl, then kissing the girl's temple lovingly.

"It's going to be okay, I'm here and not going anywhere" Nat mumbled, softly caressing the other redhead's locks.

And that's the first time that Wanda felt loved in months.

Then she whispered, "Thank you, Tasha"
